I'm facing same situation. Some hours after my second registration, I got their useless message and my line was 'temporarily suspended'. I called the office where I did it, and it was unblocked. Now i'v started receiving their messages again. I can't go and join any queue again

Did u read at all? Who told mtn alone deactivated 1. Suntin million? Dats how u fail at interviews n later blame the interviewer for hating hnd holders or 3rd class graduates...common comprehension

just checked my MTN line and i am still active.

Got a text a while back that they did not have my details. I called the customer care and told them plainly that after going to three of their office for sim registration (Galleria, ICM, MM2)...that they still dont have it, that they can disconnect and i will port straight up

Lol I sure say my mtn and airtel go day inside....but Glo still day send me msg to go re register on or b4 31st Dec. 2015 or dayll block my line, bt I still day use am. D only ish I get b say I don tire to day delete d stupid msgs evry day

The less connected lines there are the less amount of people to criticize the government via social media. This era of mobile internet has severly reduced the amount of cyber cafes available in the country, even at that I know nobody who has all the time in the world to browse nightly just to criticize the government - all criticism is always done in the safety of one's home. The less mobile lines, the lesser the criticism.

Conspiracy theory aside, I hope this exercise is to the benefit of the masses because I see no reason why I first registered all my three sims at once only for mtn to send me messages to register all those lines again one by one. I've done five trips to their office yet one of my lines is still irredeemably blocked .

Bullcrap, how does this improve security? Has boko haram stopped their insurgency? Or has kidnapping stopped? Our govt is always looking for ways to push their responsibilities anywhere but themselves
