In Search For Unlimited Download Allowance? by dcngr: 3:11pm On Feb 16, 2016
Most Nigerian internet users who consult me from outside the major cities of Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano always wanted to know how they can get Unlimited Download Allowance on an internet service. My answer? Legally, few. As a matter of fact since YahClick struck off its unlimited 512kbps and unlimited 1mbps plans none really existed for areas not covered with 4G LTE Broadband, unless of course they are organizations with capacity to invest in Microwave Dedicated Internet Access (one that I really enjoy installing) or in C-band or Ku Band VSATs.

Good news just returned with the launching of BluClick Broadband in Nigeria, internet users, especially enterprises up-country can now enjoy unlimited download allowance 24/7 on either of 2 BluClick unlimited plans: Unlimited Blu1 and Unlimited Blu 3 both on 1Mbps and 3Mbps download speeds respectively.

Too expensive, WTF do u guys think Nigerians are fool or what? 10gb for N9,700 at 1mbps speed. LOL LWKMD I laff in chinese. Spectranet sells 25gb for N8,500 at average speed of 2mbps. And the so called unlimited is N78,000 at 1mbps while the Blu 3 costs N134,000 monthly at 3mbps speed. Nna MTN sef is cheaper, at least MTN sells 4.5gb for N2,500 at speed that can be as high as 10mbps.

Greenhulk - Satellite Broadband is not as cheap as 4G LTE. It is designed for internet users who are located in areas where terrestrial internet services like 4G LTE and Fibre Optic does not cover or experiences erratic services like fibre-cut prone areas, distant metropolitan areas where power supply is poor and alternative supplies expensive to maintain.

Of all VSAT services Ka-Band is the most cost effective in the market, with BluClick being the most affordable of all. If you are based in Lagos, you may not have need for YahClick or Bluclick with Fibre Optic Internet delivering 24/7 unlimited data for a low as N10,500/month at 2Mbps speed using physical fibre optic cable connections straight to your apartment. But when you live upcountry, Satellite service is the most cost effective and definitely the only reliable way to connect to the internet.

In addition to dcngr response

Every internet service addresses specific need, BluClick addresses underserved and unserved users across Nigeria mostly. It will take years for any 4GLTE or fibre optic service providers to cover every part of the country. Satellite services and 4GLTE are poles apart. This service can give you up to 15Mbps, upload up to 3Mbps, download as high as 360GB, you cant get this on 4G.
