a change of ownership only get u a certificate of ownership in ur name, while other vehicle papers: allocation of plate reg, cmr, vehicle license, road worthiness, insurance etc, still remain wt d name of d former owner. this is so bc the infos are attached to d plate. to ve all docs in ur name, u will ve to get ur own plate while d former owner is free to take his plate n use it on another vehicle of his.

we don't usually advice a change of ownership without a plate replacement, to us it amount to nothing.

once u buy a registered car with a receipt of purchase, that should be enof proof u own d car. no officer on d road will ask, who owns d car, d question will always be if u ve complete valid documents.

we only advice, not impose!
