My point? There is no affinity whatsoever with Sane and Halilovic. Both of them will satisfy different needs of the team. And of course the area being discussed now is the attack, having an effective replacement for the MSN triumvirate. Sane will come good in that respect. Halilovic will play from the attacking midfield position or rather the right side of midfield.

Na one of those things. But he played very well. That's all that really matters, although adding a goal would have been the icing on the cake. The ultimate thing is that we won.

Atleast since he can be a back to either of the trident, its good to say he would be a plus to the team.

Enrique needs a backup of one. In this generation, it will be hard to get someone that can play in same position as the trio and be a backup (pedro as a case study).

If he can be grown to an Attacking midfield, it will be an addition. Atleast he would be used in different position in the team and be effective.

If we are to waste such amount on Sane, i would prefer Allen to be back to be that backup. Sane is just proving himself this season o. Allen has been doing wonders for years now with different teams.

Moreso, Rafinha is months away from full fitness.

Bro... The mistake you are making is that, you are displacing or rather downplaying the effect Sane will have because of Halilovic.

Now, they don't play in the same position. It's like comparing Neymar to Halilovic. We need a solid backup upfront. We don't need someone to be groomed at this juncture when it comes to the attack. Besides, we already have Munir in that category. You really wanna add Halilovic to that too, albeit without satisfying the real need of the team to have a solid and well-proven player as backup?

And to burst your bubble, Halilovic is gonna be on loan next season too. Anything other than that will hamper his development. The middle of the park is already crowded, and no one is likely to leave anytime soon. Bringing Halilovic now will do more harm to his development than good. So let's not even fantasise about it.

As for the attack... Have you wondered why Lucho wanted (or wants) Nolito so badly? He needs a perfect replacement for one of MSN, and especially Neymar. There is a feeling that other areas are already covered with some sort of replacements for either of Suarez and Messi, but Neymar's wing has no such capable replacement, hence the need to have Nolito. And of course this is where Sane comes in too. So like I said earlier on, there is no affinity between bringing Leroy Sane and Alen Halilovic. If both will come, it will be to serve different purpose. And I am very certain Halilovic will still be on loan next season. That will be good for him and Barca also. Win-win for both parties.
