When people fail to realise that electioneering doesn't begin & end on the day people file out to cast their votes then such people would not appreciate what Sen.Tinubu is saying. It was to his credit that the now defunct Action Congress Of Nigeria teamed up with other progressive Forces to firm APC, His calculations also brought up The incumbent President as her Flag bearer which without it would have been difficult to unseat Ex-Pres.Jonathan. Do you think he didn't think about that , you forget the army itself is also tribalised, he wouldn't have lasted three months on the seat. The international community was also against jonathan, there was nothing he could do other than leave honorably.

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has said his most difficult battle ever in life is ousting an incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 gen­eral elections. Naivety. Buhari had 12m votes from the same North in 2011. He didn't win.

It is submission of his (Tinubu's) structure in the SW to Buhari that was the game changer.

If Tinubu's structure did not work for Buhari in 2015, you will just see 1.5m votes for GEJ in Lagos, and 500k in Oyo, Ondo, Ogun etc and 1 (with no one to fight for him in the SW). That's what you guys don't know.

It is not about the aboslute numbers of votes alone, but the opportunity cost.
