Human rights activists under the aegis of the Democratic Socialist Movement have solicited all classes from laborers in the health sector and different workers in Osun State to ascend in dissent against the decrease of their salaries by half. The coordinator of the DSM in Osun State, Mr. Alfred Adegoke and secretary, Mr. Kola Ibrahim, put forth this in an announcement made accessible to reporters in Osogbo on Saturday. The executive of the Osun State branch of the Nigeria Medical Association, Dr. Suraj Ogunyemi, had last Tuesday led scores of workers to organize a protest to the House of Assembly on the issues of pay cut and poor state of administration. The DSM said, “We welcome and support the protest action organised by doctors on Tuesday, 16 February, 2016 in Osogbo, and call for the broadening and escalation of this kind of action by mobilising other unions in the health sector and the working people in general in support of the struggle. Expecting doctors to work under poor conditions will be detrimental to the health sector.” http://scarletnews.com/2016/02/21/human-rights-activists-tell-workers-to-shun-half-salary-in-osun-state/ |

MissingBudget:Abeg which one is odourless fufu again? Seriously, Nigeria should start thinking of merging some states with more viable ones. E.g, state of Osun should be merged with Ondo state & Imo merged with Anambra. |
