Do you have any work experience in the banking/accounting sector? If yes, you can try for the PR pathway first.
If no, then try to find out if your prospective program is on the skill select list that qualifies for PR.

Let me elaborate.
He said 573A which we all know that its for Study, but he wants to use it to work.
The only way that could happen is IF you're a dependent right?.
Ok...heres my own summary.
Someone maybe applying for 573A visa through an Agent & the agent might claim that the person has a dependant.
And the, The agent might ask this guy in question to go an do international passport bearing so..so..so surename & if he can come up with it, they can run some Age declaration and attached it to the application without the primary applicant Knowing about the arrangement. or even if he knows, he might accept such thing becox this guy might be paying huge sum of money.

So...its like 50/50 with the applicant and the Agent.
The way 573A could work as a work visa for 2years is what im tryin to make clear here.
Otherwise its not possible

your medical case has been referred to BUPA who will review it and make a decision. Don't worry , give it 2 - 3 working days.
You will be advised on what to do should you need to, nothing you can do about it frankly.

Good day house,

I have been asking questions about doing a masters program in Aus and someone in the house advised me to go through PR

I have gone through the list and I and my hubby fall on the CSOL list ( customer service and for him sales manager) although his also into this football scouts so I don't know if he will have better chances if he applied under sport administration than a sales manager?

I also want the gurus in the house to help me with a link on where/ what steps to follow as per documentation.

We want to write PTE and we don't mind reading materials because my ielts scores where not so fantastic.

Thank you for all your help and have a lovely week ahead.

I know how you feel. You must be very confused now. Well, I will just tell you little that I know. You could check with your family and friends in Canada on general situations there. I can only talk a bit about Australia.

Australia Benefits:

- Right to live and work permanently in Australia
- Right to live and work unrestricted in New Zealand. New Zealand PR holders cannot do so.
- Right to become citizen after four years as a resident.
- Right to free Medicare in Government hospital.
- Child care benefit for kids-Means tested anyway .
- Child care rebates for all irrespective of your income
- Right to family tax benefit A & B subject to income.
- Children born inside Australia will be Australian citizens
- Having Australia passport enables you to enter more than 168 countries of the world including Canada, USA,UK on visa free or visa on arrival etc. Some of the countries you could work and live for a period of time such as US, Canada, UK etc.
- Right to free education in from primary to secondary school in a public school as a PR holder.
- As aa citizen, Government pay your school fees-as loan in the University and you can start paying back when you start to earn up to 53,000AUD per annum.
- Right to sponsor your family members for Permanent residence, subject to fulfilling some criteria.
- Right to youth employment benefit.
- Right to social security benefit.
- You can easily own houses through mortgage so long you are earning income. You only need 5% deposit as a first home buyer in some state.
- Right to become anything you want to be. You will be supported by government.
- Great weather. Although there could be flood and storms in some places. Also wildfire is a threat particularly in some regional areas.

In terms of countries GDP, Australia is no 12.
Australia Current unemployment rate is 6.2%

Cost of Living compared
Indices Difference
Consumer Prices in Canada are 18.36% lower than in Australia
Consumer Prices Including Rent in Canada are 22.68% lower than in Australia
Rent Prices in Canada are 32.17% lower than in Australia
Restaurant Prices in Canada are 16.47% lower than in Australia
Groceries Prices in Canada are 9.50% lower than in Australia
Local Purchasing Power in Canada is 4.87% lower than in Australia

Melbourne has been the most liveable city in the world for some years in a row now. And the 18th most expensive city to live. Brisbane is 13th most expensive city and Sydney 11th city. No Canadian city in the first 20 most expensive cities to live.

Australia generally is one of the most expensive country to live in the world. This depends largely on where you live. For example, Sydney cost of living is huge. What kills here majorly is the cost of rents. And even at that, it depends on where you live in Sydney.
Minimum wage in Australia currently is AUD 16.87/hr
Minimum wage in Canada currently is CAD 11/hr

Employment Situation

Regarding employment for prospective overseas Engineers, I would say it depends on your skills and your experience. Some people were employed directly from Nigeria to work here even without PR. I know of a Mechanical Engineer that got job 7 days after he arrived and some 1-month or two etc. However, do spend several months before they get their dream jobs. Anyway, things have changed a bit because market is a bit flooded particularly for Telecom Engineers. Although there is this ‘local experience palaver’ which most Australian employers value so much. It was when I got in that I discovered why they value it so much. Different work ethics is one of the reasons. If you have worked in places like the UK,US etc. You won’t find it difficult as such when looking for jobs. In Nigeria, we are jack of all trades so to say, but here there is clear delineation of duties. In some cases, you are expected to focus on your area only. Back in Nigeria, I was doing planning, project engineering, support etc. but when I got here, I focus only on designing, less stressful so to say. Having said that, there are skills and experience in Telecom engineering that are not in demand such RF,CORE and BSS. It will be easier for someone with transmission (Not Microwave) experience coupled with IT to get something than a RF Engineer or Core Engineer.

I know few Nigerians working in Oil and gas, IT, Construction industry and also Telecomms. Generally, the strategy is to have Australia standard CV, relevant certifications and not minding starting afresh or do an internship and possibly volunteering jobs. Taking up a volunteering job will fetch you Australian experience.

If you educate me more on your skills and experience, I will be able to advise you. Meanwhile, you could check the two major job websites: www.seek.com.au and www.indeed.com.au

Pls Ozlanders and aspirants, do pardon me for quoting all this; I personally believe this could help someone out there to make informed decision as we all plan to better our lots despite economic downturn in Nigeria, though I believe God still has the interest of our their country at heart. We shall overcome!

Dear all, I'm 28 going to 29 by Dec (I have a twin bro), still looking for job though..
I studied Medical Lab Science in Nigeria with 2yrs post qualification experience (1yr internship and NYSC).

I have painstakingly perused the requirements for migrating to Canada (under Express Entry) and Australia.

For my profession, the demands are quite herculean especially the issue of traveling to Canada for a qualifying exam, which takes place within stipulated periods of three (3) times a year, while that of Australia if am not mincing words only requires a three months abridging course for foreign-trained Medical Scientist before the issuance of licence all thinngs being equal.

Pls gurus, what should I settle for in terms of availability of jobs, less hassles to get a visa, PR, and less cost of pursuing this dream from scratch, better pay, etc?.

I am single and just want to make it in life within all legitimate means. I don't mind working for 18 hrs each day except sundays!

I sincerely solicit your legendary inputs cum advice @ mumy bossladymo1, NNBB2012, bellong, malkinburg and other great minds.

It means they have concluded your health examination and submitted the results electronically. You can confirm the submission here: https://www.emedical.immi.gov.au/eMedUI/eMedicalClient

Global health Sydney will review the results and update your application page accordingly. Give it 2-3 days to be updated, like Scrollmeout advised.

Your panel clinic/physician conducts the tests offshore. However, the results are reviewed to determine if further tests are required. That's why the results were forwarded to Global Health, Sydney. Sorry, BUPA is responsible for this for onshore clients.

In any case, it's nothing to be worried about

As u earlier stated, Canada immigration is not favorable for us because one will need a licence which is not straight forward.
Oz is a whole lot easier as licence is not required. All you have to do is be assessed by AIMS(australian institute of medical scientists aims.org.au). As long as u didn't get your degree in Oz, you will be assessed as an MLT. One is then required to take an exam in other to be assessed as MLS. I am presently at the stage of exam because no state is nominating MLT as of now. Once you pass, you will get positive assessment as MLS and can then apply.
Visit the aims website to know their requirements for assessment.

Thank you ma!
Can one work as an MLT while prolly doing an abridge course for 3months or thereabout, to sit for the assessment/qualifying exam over there in Oz to be converted/regularized as a MLS?

What about the labour market as proportionate to the MLS profession?

I went through your previous posts, and discovered some useful info. Where is the assessment written? What is the pass rate like? I discovered from your post that the exams are written March/September...

What of the application fee and materials/text recommended for reading and onward good performance?

I so wish you luck and God's speed in the exam. I will remember you in my personal prayers.

Pls wetin be one of your kids names, so I will address you as mummy bla bla bla cheesy
