Good day Nairalanders .. I have been a silent reader for a couple of days now and this is my first time trying to post. hope I get it right. I am married with a Son . I finished in 2008 with a BA in English but right after NYSC, I have been in the Marketing & Communications industry up till now with my new job which I started in June 2015 . I went for a brief course in London School of Biz and Fin early last year and I have now decided to go further . I got admission in Humber College for Marketing Mngtment Fall 2016 and now doing my best to collate all the relevant document (my husband is my sponsor with abt 6M SOA ) . The catch here is I and my family already have a 4yrs TRV form June last year but couldn't make the trip as my new job came same time and I no longer intend to travel to Canada until August by God's grace . I am applying alone also. Please let me know your tots on my overall situation and do you feel i'll be victimized for not using the Visa yet?... that aside, all suggestion and tots are welcomed malaoluolateju: |

Thank You NAIRALAND! Was almost using an agent before a friend in Canada referred me here. Number of trial:1 Paper Route Submission: Dec 21,2015. Medical Call: Jan 25,2016. Medical Done: Jan 29,2016 Medicals sent to embassy by Consultant Practice; Feb 2,2016 I now got more scared at this point cos I have read of many ppl that were denied after medicals. My Heartbeat after this period increased. Approval mail wasnt coming early as most ppl get it so I got terrified daily. On Feb 19,2016 at 11.07am: Approval Mail from CIC. I took special lessons from posts by Seiraries,HayqinsbFX,TheSoj,Tnuola and some other names I cant remember . MSc Chemical Engineering,Dalhousie Univ. First Degree was also Chem Engr. Abeg guys when am I likely to get dispatch mail from VFS? |

Giov:Yeah. You pay in naira and biometric and application fee costs less than 40k. Like 38k.... That's an advantage paper enjoys over online route. |

shalewa18:1. Don't change your area of discipline because it may raise a red flag. 2. Go for MSc.Nursing because it'll make d TRV easier to get... 3. Pls, do not keep it in ur mind that you'll single-handedly complete your tuition as soon u get to Canny(reasons: it's a foreign land whch must take u some time to adapt. U can't start workin immediately until after about 2-6mnths. By this time, ur 1st semester is gone and u must pay for ur 2nd semester). Finally, b4 u start the application process, ask ur mom to start early workin on her bank SoA. In addition, read through the thread to help urself. Guruz, pls corroborate or refute my write-up. Regards! |

#Modified! @ Emma4, l I applied with a CGPA of 4.5 and awaiting decision. Made a list of 15 schools including US ones. Since i wasnt going to apply to "inferior" schools, arranged my list based on course rating and funding as stated on the web. US went out with GRE score of 296, removed Canadian schools requesting hard copy transcript due to funds and was left with three Canadian Schools including Ryerson. Am not sure most funding deadline hasn't close. Let Excel help you in the arrangement and ordering. Go, research and be truthful to yourself in the process. Shalom! |

emma4eva:I applied since Nov 24th 2015 to MUN and yet decision has not been made although it was stated on their page that review of application/decision is normally done a month after app deadline. So chill. The best way to go about cushioning the effect of this long wait is to engage yourself with other meaningful activity. Peace. |
