Are The Youths Cowards And Lazy? by Dongreat(m): 7:11pm On Feb 22, 2016
In every country in the world, the youths make up the largest percentage of the total population and on most cases, the development and innovative success of that particular country is achieved by the collectively ideas of the youths. The youths are also largely involved with the selection and election of their leaders ranging from the highest to the least level of the government.
Today in Africa, Nigeria per se, the youths are never carried along by their leaders, voted in by same youths. Instead of the provision of basic amenities by our leaders to her citizens; youth at large, the youths are largely short changed and only used as tools to achieve their evil goals. The price of food stuff today is alarming, the Dollar exchange rate to Naira is unheard of, the cases of corruption read on the pages of newspaper daily is worrisome and the gap between the poor and rich is increasing every nanosecond. Yet in an economy ridden with poverty, little or no adequate basic facilities, scarcity of resources and illiteracy, rather than the youths adopting togetherness, complaining against the ill treatment by the government and organising a peaceful mass protest for a change and better living condition, they (youths) are busy fighting themselves, insulting their religion and belief, tribe and culture, swearing and threatening and planing a breakout from the country. Everyday I read comments written by Nigeria youths on Vanguarg online, The Punch,The Sun, DailyPost and Nairaland regarding the present economic woes and all I see are the mentions above.‎
Are the youths scared of asking for a better living condition from the government, are they waiting for a miracle, blinded by tribal hate and 'the divide and rule tactics', are they used to the 'Suffering and Smiling' syndrome or are they born cowards destined to suffer for eternity?

Ps: I am neither APC, PDP, IPOB nor a paid agent. Am just a citizen ashamed of the present economy situations of the country and the reactions of the Nigeria youths to tackle them.

I suggest togetherness man, void of nepotism, tribalism or personal gain. You and I do know that while practising enormous corruption, our leaders share the money and loots as brothers regardless of their tribal differences. We the youth should practise same tactics but used for the emancipation of ourselves. Now what's your suggestion?

well said, the youths in this country are way too divided and are always put on a rollercoaster ride by the elites who themselves are united in their collective support of nepotism, elitism, and corruption.
the youths need to wake up from their slumber.

No we are not lazy, neither are we cowards, must of us prefer to be given money for doing nothing.

Nigeria youth are simply contended with hailing "APC" and "PDP" looters and shouting Chelsea 4 life.

This statement makes anyone involved a big coward and lazy man. Why chanting APC or PDP for peanuts and Chelsea cheesy when the club knows nothing about their existences.
