I now wake up every morning to update myself on top happenings in the news and all I see staring back at Me is a nation heading towards economic collapse, I voted for this government but hey, this situation has passed be careful. The so called corruption crusade has produced no tangible result and yet we still jubilate like simpletons whenever the efcc announces a new twist. Please if you all can't see it, I can. The Nigerian economy is DYING...... If not already dead.

Enough of the oil downturn excuse, oil has fallen to nothing for over a year now, aren't there nations who are surviving without a drop of oil being ever drilled? Are we so economical daft, that the leaders can't come up with something else to cushion this downfall? All I can see is a government waiting for the oil situation to be resolved so they can go back to business as usual. The silly budget passed didn't show any evidence of the government trying to rescue our economy by expansive diversification, should we borrow money for spending alone? No strong capital investment in new frontiers that could drive the economy in the event the oil situation never recovers.

I am angry, very angry because this situation is creeping into our markets, our barber shops, our road side market women and woe betide the devil should it creep into our football watching centres or betting shops. The price of goods and services is sky rocketing, this is the biggest problem our government should be having sleepless nights trying to solve, yet I am yet to read today of any economic saving moves the government is trying out. Maybe we should wait till the price of oil hits $1, then we might cannibalise each other. Please this nation is too rich to be poor.

Suggest solution better than what is being done. All oil based economies have crashed incuding Russia. The important thing right now is how to reduce the impact on the populace.

the solutions are there, everywhere. Which one is oil based economies, aren't there prospering economies that aren't oil based? A leader in this country is responsible for over 150million people. He is expected to be innovative, am not ur president and thus don't ask me for solutions, he must provide solutions and not excuses, if he isn't capable of that, he can step down. But on another note. This economic downturn is a catalyst for self sustainace, we must look at boosting local production, our money is useless as an import based economy, but very useful as an export based economy. We must create trade and investments targeted at export, we must face exportation in this period to benefit from a weak naira. This means more jobs, this means Nigerian products spanning agriculture, science, technology, processed products and human resources. Even a simple me has highlighted a solution, why not the government. # enough of the excuses
