NAIRA GAINS N6 AT PARALLEL MARKET

The naira further gained N6 yesterday, trading at N364 to the dollar at the parallel market, following President Muhammadu Buhari’s stance not to devalue the currency.

The demand for dollars is a little bit less because most importers stopped importing due to the scarcity of and hike in dollars. That is to say the demand is a little bit less this week, thus the Naira gain.

If this trend continues, we may not find goods to buy in the next 2 months.

God bless Nigeria.

If that be the case, it is a well calculated step. They withdrew to their shell to lay ambush so that as soon as the rate is about 200 to $, they will spring out and mop up all the available supply. Our importers are brave then

They did not even do it deliberately.

They were forced to do it because of the the unavailability of and the excessive hike in dollars.
