airmark:Can you please stop embarrassing yourself? ![]() Arsenal did not mount pressure on Busquets? Seriously? Arsenal that were even pressuring the sideways defenders during goal kicks wouldn't press Busquets that many articles told them to pay attention to? www.skysports.com/football/news/11945/10177098/why-arsenal-must-stop-sergio-busquets-to-beat-barcelona When did Coquelin stop Messi? Sanchez now looks like Coquelin in that your Vitamin A deficient - 'tactical eye'? Because it was only Sanchez that made a memorable stoppage against Messi and the only time Coquelin stopped Messi was when he was dragging his shirt! So if you can't even identify players on the field after replays, then your case is a sorry one! |

haywhy911:Honestly, Flamini wasn't at fault there, Per was. What sorta school boy game would make you wanna control a lofted ball in your 18 yard box with your opponent's player looming around? |

dmcdad:You sure say the guy na Arsenal fan? The way he boasts about uncertainties really makes one wonder if he's been around enough to know Arsenal of all the club's in the world are just a polished Barca B team. Man U can boast of defeating us in the semis to lift the trophy, Chelsea can also bask in the euphoria of their victory over us to lifting the coveted trophy, But Arsenal?? Seriously Arsenal? Why would someone just wake up and be claiming what is not? I can bet that our B team would slug it out with this Arsenal team led by a mediocre Giroud. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by dmcdad: 9:38am On Feb 24, 2016 |
Arsenal is no more than an academy. To put it more appropriately like you said, a polished Barca B team. That says t all. sebod: |

1. Barcelona have won 4 UCL in the last 10 years while Arsenal only got to the final once in their lifetime 2. Barcelona won their second treble in style, something Arsenal can only win in their dreams. 3. Barcelona are the best team in the league being the defending champion and also occupying the top spot on the log presently with 8 points clear, while Arsenal are not even one of the two best clubs in England. 4. Barcelona can boast of the world best players in their team which has the arguably greatest player of all time, the most prolific striker presently, a talented Brazilian super star, a world cup legend in Iniesta and the host of other great players, while Arsenal can only marvel in the mediocrity of Giroud, the strength of Alexis and the eyes of Ozil. How Arsenal fans could now conclude their players are better than Barca players still beats my imagination. Coquelin can only play as a back up defender in Barca team, Bellerin is a Barca product that's just growing, Alexis was surplus to requirement in Barca, Giroud is not better than Bojan. If our Samper gets to play for Arsenal today, he would be immediately termed the best DM in the world. Halilovic would be a god in Arsenal, Denis Suarez would be rated over Iniesta. I can conveniently conclude that we have enough good players in our B team that would be termed as gods in Arsenal. They just enjoy the hype of the league and there's nothing special about them! |

I stated it clearly here that Munir has performed better than Walcott and Giroud this season. I'm not surprised that with their toothless attack, they are joint 2nd on their league table. It's because their league standard has fallen significantly. What surprises me however is the fact that fellow cules were scared of Arsenal defeating Barcelona. I mean ordinary Arsenal of all teams... Damn! |

homesteady:That says it all. Do i need to prove anything to you. If you cant remember koscielny's own how would you remember coquelin's ? Yesterday despite coquelin just getting back to form after injury did better in an arsenal side, rickety chelsea beat home and away. |

My people, we're indeed witnessing another golden era in the proud history of our great team, FCBARCELONA. The last night game was one in which we even played poorly and yet we came out victorious. Arsenal plated their very best- just like Malaga, Las Palmas, etc did - but we still came out smiling. I thought I has seen re best barca during the Pep years but here is another huge improvement on that team. This is really a wonderful football arrangements. All barca fans must really savour these moments; it might be long before we see such again. Once again, we proved to those EPL folks that football is no longer mere brawn; it's now pure game of brain and superior intelligence. There's a limit to what physic and pace could do, but there's no limit to what imagination could do. All through the game, not even minding we were playing against one of the best of England, I wasn't disturbed in the least: I had implicit faith in the ability and intelligence of my guys and they were true to it. That was an average performance form our monster and it was still enough to break the spirit of the Gunners. Where do I start from? Messi. We've exhausted all superlatives. Neymar. Selfless. Suarez. Selfless. Don Andres. Oh Busquets. What a player. We appreciate you. Rakitic . We appreciate you. Ter Stegen. Many thanks. Alves and Pique. Great leaders. Overall a great team of football. How did Messi score his first goal? Cech was expecting a first time smash shot that most average strikers would have taken but Messi isn't an average player. His deliberate delay allowed Cech to obey the law of gravity, thereby allowing the Mercurial Messi to lobby the ball into the net, to the chagrin of the already floored keeper. His penalty. Arrogant. Yet humble. Oh the glamour of the MSN. The chemistry of these humble strikers. Let me stop here. Brethren, let's forget all those mundane arguments on the talent of Busquets and ENJOY this team. We might never be lucky again- not to soon. Arsenal can kiss goodbye to this season's UCL |

dearpreye:Bro, you have said it all! I've never fancied all these constant arguments about whether our players are average or not and I barely ever engage in them. We have the best team in the world and I'm always saying it that we should all savour this moment. Imagine being treated to a sweet brand of football every 3 days, it's not easy man! And talking about Messi's 1st goal, I just can't have enough of it. He practically rendered Cech helpless before scoring ![]() ![]() As for EPL, they're going to be on a long thing for a really long time. Sheybi they think football is all about brawn, power? They are still learning ![]() ![]() ![]() Football has evolved and as far as I'm concerned, they don't play football in EPL, it's more like rugby. And that's why they'll continue to be exposed in the UCL. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 3:46pm On Feb 24, 2016 |
mcdreeezy:Thumbs up bro! As regards Messi's goal, a certain Giroud would have hurriedly kicked the ball which would either hit the on-rushing cech on his hands, legs or chest. Baba na baba any time any day. |

If Messi doesn't score, Neymar will. If Neymar doesn't score, Suarez will. If Suarez doesn't score, Messi will. The beauty of having MSN around.

Can't stop watching yesterday's first goal..1 second Suarez is passing the ball to Neymar, the next second Messi is placing the ball inside the net,so swift. Funny part was seeing Bellerin trying to catch up with Neymar. ![]() |
