Yoruba and Fulani

If not for Ibadan warriors who defeated the Fulani in Osogbo in the 1800s, Yorubaland today would have been like Hausaland with Fulani Emirs ruling over Yoruba people.

It was Yoruba army led by Ibadan and NOT Ibadan soldiers alone.

Ibadan was founded by a mix of Yoruba people, the term 'warriors of Ibadan' takes it for granted that Ibadan was not a sub-ethnic monolith.

Your point is well taken.

Yes sir.

Also, armies from other Yoruba towns/sub ethnic groups fought alongside or under the direction of the Ibadan contingent.

Ebira and Igala are not ancestral enemies get your facts right. The recent mild enmity between the two tribes started as a result of perceive political marginalization. Stop misinforming Nairalanders
