– There is no need for a new residence for the Vice President
– “N6 billion spent on new Vice President’s house was a waste
of resources,” – Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo described his new office as a
waste and misallocation of resources at the Pastors and Leaders
Retreat of the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos on Friday.
“There is no need for a new Vice President’s house; it is a kind
of waste; we are now in a situation where we cannot abandon it;
it has to be completed and used for a different thing,” he said.
According to the Vice President, his current residential quarters
at the Aguda House in Abuja is spacious, well equipped and up to
standard. However, as N6 billion were already spent on the
project the administration would complete its construction and
use for other purposes.
He also touched on the controversial allocation to the State
House Medical Centre , saying the clinic is designed not only for
workers at the state house but for all Nigerians and expressed
his hope that in future it would be reorientated to provide higher
medical services to those in need.

country, education, business, entrepreneurship, judicial system

Is he telling us that he was not consulted before putting it in the budget of fraud? Why are these politicians taking Nigerians mentality for a ride. I wonder the type of spirit that are in that Aso rock that can change a whole pastor within this shot period.

Enough money to build water works for a large town .
Now to get to the main points

1 Does the government think that the civil service is good enough ? I doubt it . I was hoping that they have started there first .

2 making cuts . Multiple competing agencies of government with multiple facilities , and who add no value.

3 Stopping all nice-to-have expenditures like ministers quarters , extensions to a ministry's headquarters , fences etc

4 reduce the amount spent on Abuja and channel the money to states where people actually reside and the wealth is made . The per capita income of Abuja ( highest in Nigeria) show that it can fund itself .
Abuja alone has consumed an unjustifiable share of capital project over the last 30 years . Despite this unequal share , it is still not contributing to the kitty.

5 devote money to stuffs that will create wealth

6 Cancel expired stuffs like NYSC and pass the responsibility to the Nigeria volunteer Corp . A graduate who volunteers can then be sent to fill the gaps ( e.g teaching ) in places where such cancellations will be felt .

7 teminate all federal involvement in roads , rail outside city limits .

8 Stop duplicating state responsibilities

9 Agencies like NDDC should be devoted to the residents of the places where crude oil is pumped . If the person does not live there , he does not get the benefit .
If yenagoa does not pump oil , yenagoa should not get projects from NDDC . If the oil is coming from brass , let brass enjoy all those projects . The Niger delta ministry and derivation can take care of the rest of the state .


10 the National Assembly budget should be and must be reduced .


11 States must be allowed to produce and supply electricity to their industrial park
I can go on and on . Many of these points do not require any money . Only political will .

12 the waste resulting from one airport per state. Where most of those airports are unviable . Privatise or handover those airports to the states

13 Let the states from whom revenues are made keep at least 30% of their money . Concentrate money on and Assist those not contributing to build their economic independence.

Calling this Man a pastor is an insult to ministry.

This "Mere Commissioner" keeps trying to cover/hide himself under the cloak of vague and unreasonable righteousness!.. Nigerians are now wiser(tho not all)

Was the building started commissioned or budgeted for by him or the buhari administration? Was it not jonathan and sambos project?

Has buhari passed or executed any budget or we eager to just curse or abuse him even when it makes no difference
