The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T531 10.1 is, of course, bigger than its 7.0 and 8.0 peers with a 10.1-inch display. But there is more, its dual speakers on the left and right make for louder and clearer audio experience. Besides these, the specs remain pretty much the same across the Galaxy Tab 4 trio of tablets launched by Samsung in April, 2014.

Solid build, lightweight (487g) and compact with 243.4 x 176.4 x 8 mm dimensions, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is comfortable to hold, even for longer periods of time. Its 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1.5 GB of RAM enable it to run quite smoothly while opening apps, multitasking and even gaming.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features 16GB internal storage, but you can add up to 64 GB of external memory via a microSD card, which is quite good storage. The battery life is impressive with a near 10 hour back up. The 10.1-inch display is just practical at 1280 × 800 pixels and so is the camera. The 3 MP rear camera performs well under good light, and the front one is an adequate 1.3 MP for video chats.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 runs Samsung’s TouchWiz on top of the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat, another plus for the tablet.
