Pls gurus my friends odometer just stop working this morning after starting the car this morning. Pls what could be the cause cus the galvanometer get stucked after 280kilometers

Run a scan. Could be your cluster is bad or a bad vehicle speed sensor, if you are in lagos and you need to fix it free diagnosis for you ends by 5pm today |

I ran a scan but no code propped up. Oga Gazzuz your help is needed here. The odometer is stucked after 280 km |

Experience4u:Get a new instrument cluster panel. the one presently in your friend's must have had one of its circuits fried. |

mayor2013:If the VSS is bad, the vehicle will have serious driveability issue. A confirmation of cluster failure is to test it with a capable scanner - command it and see if it responds. |

Experience4u:This is purely an electrical issue and u will need to get a competent hand who know how to use a multimeter to troubleshoot right from the sensor that provides the speed sensor signal through the cable that carries the signal to the terminal pin connector of the speedometer . From there u will be able to deduce accurately the faulty items . However, you will have to get the wiring diagram to achieve this . 1 Like |
