I have a passion for animation, and maya was recommended. I was told they have an office in nigeria. How can I go about it?

@JOAGBE: It's great you have a passion for animation. Maya is a good choice and it's made by Autodesk in the US. They don't have a direct office in Nigeria only Authorised resellers such as Ideate Technologies(www.ideate.mu) and Costech Nigeria(www.costechcomputers.com.ng).
I highly recommend OrangeVFX Studios(www.orangevfx.com) I took their basic Maya course 3years ago. If you do well enough you could be absorbed as a freelancer or full staff. Check them out on facebook,twitter & youtube.

if you're ready to pay.
ill advice you try digital tutors..
they have concise maya training courses as they're the official autodesk training partners..
but before that be sure to remember that animation is more than just the software. just like architecture is more than autocad or revit.
try to get these books..

the animators survival kit by richard williams..

they were meant for traditional 2d animation..
but the principles taught there are priceless for any animator even in 3d

Thanks for this extra info @OSEOD. Yes,it's true about PluralSight Tutors(formerly Digital Tutors) they are still my favourite video online resources though pricey. Lynda,CmiVfx,FxPhD,CubeBrush,CG Cookie etc are also good. It depends on @JOAGBAJE if he can learn just through videos alone or one-on-one training get accustomed to the User Interface then develop himself continually as a habit with such video resources later on which is highly recommended.
