Zonkwa and kafanchan are not the best place to serve, I served in zonkwa. The only place that recorded the highest rate of hiv in nigeria, different kind of diseases are there, almost all there girls and boys, both the young and old are always suffering from one disease or the other. I can't ever advice anybody to serve there again, if disease did not kill, you will die by religion crisis.

Nigeria medical personnel is a joke according to this report he treated a patient with Lassa fever but he did not dim it fit to do carry out his duty with professionalism. what was he treating in the first place? may be malara. when he fell sick the fellow doctors was busy treating malara.may be that was the same thing he treated the said patient.

Well, there is a colony of Igbos in Zonkwa. We were born there and will happily visit there anytime any day.

I called my cousin in Zonkwa this afternoon and she confirmed the sad story.

For ur info lassa fever is not restricted to the north.

Take it easy now. You may not like the place but it's not enough for this rantings.

So every body is sick too. Did you witness any religious crisis during the one year you spent there?

I served in a place worst than Zonkwa, where bikes come once a week. .Tanagar in Warawa LGA of Kano.

Zonkwa have banks, hospitals (ECWA St Louis & others) and roads and railways.

The Muslims have been subdued there and are not troublesome.

Nurses most time are the 1st victims of any disease outbreak. Yet they are never recognised for their sacrifice.
Same happened during the famous ebola outbreak. Now lassa has claimed more lives of these sacrificial professionals, yet nothing is being said both to the corper nurses and professional nurse.

Sad.

What will happen to ambitious professionals will happen to d roadside groundnut sellers..both of them will die. Such is life.

We can only wish d dead to rest in peace, but whether he really rests in peace or pieces is a function of d work of his hands. Judgement is for all.
