The quran specifically asked muslim husbands to admonish\beat their wives anytime they misbehave (quran 4:34). The islamic prophet also led by example by striking his favourite wife Aisha, whom he married when she was 6 years and mohammed 51 years, in the chest for going out alone without his approval. See hadith below, the narration was by Aisha herself:

Sahih muslim 4:2127, 'the prophet of allahh struck me in the chest and it caused me serios pain'. The prophet of allahh hit Aisha on the chest, why should a man hit a woman on the chest? This action is part of the sunnah that you must follow unless you are a fake muslim.

Sahih muslim 9:3506, mohammed's father-in-laws, Abu Bakr and Omar slapped their daughters (Aisha and Hafsa) for making the prophet of islam angry, right in the presence of mohammed. What did mohammed do? He smiled in approval of the actions of his father-in-laws.

Sahih Bukhari 72:715, a muslim woman came to mohammed to report his abusive husband to the islamic prophet. She showed the islamic prophet the injuries she sustained as a result of the beatings. What did the islam prophet say? That the woman should go back home and submit to the sexual urge of the abusive husband instead of scolding and stopping the man from further beating of his wife. What was Aisha reactions to mohammed's bad sense of judgement? She said and I quote, 'I have never seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women (muslim women)'.

So it will be disingenious of you to state that there is no misogyny in islam or among the muslim community, even when the opposite is true. The quran and the hadith cannot be wrong on this, as per the ways and manners muslim men treat muslim women, if they are to fully follow the sunnah of the islamic prophet.

If you are in saudi arabia you will be beheaded for disowning your own quran and the al-hadith which sanctioned domestic violence against women, especially 'insurbordinate' women. What I had expected you to say is that the al-hadith were fabricated or weak and that I read quran 4:34 out of context.
