Have u asked urself how it is possible that the so called witnesses are already threatened when their identities are still shrouded in secrecy? Is the defendant entitled to a fair trial or not? Is it fair for him not to see and identify said witnesses who seek to testify against him?

Knowing the sentiments and emotions against people seeking a separation from Nigeria is it not within the realm of possibility that everything will be done to frustrate their quest including bringing people to testify falsely? You know very well these agencies and d Nig govt in particular are certainly not above reproach and will stop at nothing to achieve their aims so why should an accused person already stripped of his dignity in the eyes of the public be denied the opportunity to see those who testify against him and also question them?

How does the court evaluate the expression and body language of the witnesses if they are masked or not allowed to appear before an open court? After answering all those questions honestly put urself in his position and ask urself whether u will seriously advocate a secret trial. Note that it is a procedure alien to our laws as well.
