Please nairalanders I'm indecisive, my first and preferred course is Medicine and I was given the opportunity to select a second Course and I want one that's in the Faculty of Medicine. So which should I choose between Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing? Please I urgently need your advice. |

sirAliyu:well veterinary medicine isn't that lucrative and recognized in Nigeria , I think you shud either go with pharmacy or nursing but for me , you can go with pharmacy as you can work in not just hospitals , but also pharmaceutical companies/industries , companies like NAFDAC e.t.c , cam work in drug manufacturing and production company or can open a pharmacy of your own with your own license , can't really say for nursing , but I think they work in hospitals , motherless baby homes and some might go and learn drug stuffs outside and open a chemist that's my opinion though I'm a 200level computer engineering student of MOUAU. , but I was considering a going in for a medical course which I later changed to an engineering course ( computer engineering specifically ) so I've done a lot of research in most medical courses especially the ones like medicine and surgery , dentistry, optometry , pharmacy and maybe a little bit of nursing as a course if I were you , though I don't know how bright/intelligent you're but I would have put pharmacy first choice and optometry second choice , bcuz the cut off mark for medicine and surgery is very high , and I think pharmacy and optometry is very much lucrative for those who want to go into private practice , and maybe nurses if they learn about drugs and can open a chemist shop but is your choice and decision |
