I don't know if you use to see me in your dreams as nightmare? Why can't you argue with people without mentioning my name for goodness sake? I have been avoiding this thread for good! Hmmm! Well as for your assertion about Imo state, I will say it the way it is, Imo state is the least developed state in the East by all parameters of development. There is virtually nothing working in that damned state; not health, not education, not infrastructure, not security, not nothing! Nobody competes with a laid-back state. Vote in a sane, decent and competent person if you want a change! Abagworo: So says Chino. Imo is probably the most developed State in the East today courtesy this same man you are hating. |

freshness2020: Charley boy did the needful. My guy you are very wrong... Okorocha has always pitch his tent with the northerner since the time of Harry Akande and co. when they were all justling for APP presidential Candidate then. Infact I got know Okorocha in 2003 when I saw his Posters and grassroot campaign inpact in remote villages in Zamfara and Sokoto. |

berem: Charlie boy has always been the blacksheep of the family and a disgrace to his father. If he's the first son of his dad, then I must say he's a total embarrasment to his younger siblings. It is no fault of Rochas that Imo people always hail him everywhere he goes. That's the qualities of being the people's governor.I believe in your assertion but on the burial day like a mad man with inspiration from the gods, Charlie Boy acted wisely and sane. |

If this is the kind of reaction he gave to that situation, then I believe okorocha is dumb. I hate people who believe everything is all about politics. |

Abagworo: . He didn't make such announcement and Charly boy did not deny it either. Oputa family actually got financial and moral assistance from Imo Government and it is not to be argued however Charly boy misbehaved. The reason he did that I believe is because of "Owelle!" that most Imo citizens hail Okorocha whenever and wherever they see him. Maybe he thought they were APC members or something. Anyone who has been in a gathering or even on the road when Okorocha is passing won't help but notice the scream of Owelle! by Imo masses on sighting him.Guy! You can lie sha! Jeeez... are you based in imo? People hisss continually once he's sighted. 'Ha biakwala ozo' is what they say. |

I'm sure you expect us to believe you just because you think charlieboy is a blacksheep and that makes him always wrong. You, with all your 'whitesheepness' plus not being a disgrace, Who/what/where are you? You have no moral justification or right to write sternly about anyone's family, furthermore write about blacksheeps... A family that you're not a part of! The Governors from the supporter of APC party are being shown the way out gradually. This is a sign of things to come. As it was in Ekiti, so shall it be in Osun and Imo. Boko Haramists have no room in Nigeria. Say No to APC, say No to Boko Haram. |

Whether it was his fathers funeral or not, that old charlie fool should have been manhandled the moment he dragged his lousy body near to the peoples governor.not when there are forces loyal to abuja to stop it. idumuose: One of my close friends who visited imo state recently said Okorocha is working oo.He said okorocha is transforming owerri to a world class capital city.Your friend's view is that of a visitor./ He got sucked in by the abracadabra shows we know our governor for. Truth be told, there is no true development in Imo state. With Rochas, it has always been the more you look, the less you see. I would not blame anyone who gets to warehouse junction and concludes that Owerri has been transformed but just stay in the city for two days and your view will change, especially if you understand what to expect from a governor. |

See who’s driving the bus I had enjoyed two ‘gubernatorial’ rides that I can remember in recent past. One was by Gov Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, who drove me round Port Harcourt and environs when I visited, and the other was by Gov Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State. We drove round Akure, the Ondo State capital in the dead of night, inspecting landmark projects.Gov Amaechi of Rivers State drove a Sports Utility vehicle, with his security details in front and behind us, while Mimiko drove a saloon car. But the experience in Owerri, Imo State, last Saturday was different. We were driven round the city in a 32-seater Coaster bus. And who was the chauffeur? You guessed right: Gov Rochas Okorocha, the Owelle himself. The Nigerian Guild of Editors was holding a meeting of its executive committee in Owerri, and we had been invited on a facility tour by the governor. A Coaster bus was made available for the voyage, and we were all comfortably seated. I thought the governor would ride in his official car, or join us in the bus as many other governors have done on trips to other states. But to my amazement, the Owelle got behind the wheels. He was going to drive. And drive he did, on the tour that lasted about three hours. We went round Owerri metropolis, seeing state of the art schools, health facilities, newly built roads, new offices for ministries and agencies, and very many others. Armed with a microphone, the executive driver would stop, and tell us the history of each project, the cost, and how many of such existed in the three senatorial districts of the state. Have you heard it said by some propagandists that Gov Okorocha is not doing anything in Imo State? I’ve heard it, and severally too. Do I believe it? How can? Am I blind? Have I not seen, felt and touched all the projects? Even if I were like Thomas, who would not believe the resurrection of Jesus Christ till he saw the marks of nails in his palms, and the marks of the spear stuck into his side, what I saw in Owerri was enough to confirm that Okorocha was working for the people who had voted him into power in 2011. In three hours, we could not exhaust projects in Owerri alone, not to talk of other senatorial districts like Orlu and Okigwe. I have been to Orlu before, and I know the face of the place is changing. I hear great things are equally happening in Okigwe. That’s how to do it. Justify the confidence the people reposed in you, which made them vote you into office. And they will also stand by you. As we drove round the city, it was always exciting to see the people, young, old, man, woman, shout ‘Owelle!!!’ as they saw the executive driver. And the governor would give them a thumbs up salute. There was a roundabout where we ran into some traffic gridlock, and there was bedlam when other motorists recognised who was driving the bus. They swarmed round the bus, hailing their governor. Where does the man get his energy? At every project stop, he would hop out, lead us on inspection, telling the story. That done, he hops in again, and zooms off. By the time we were breathless and crying for lunch three hours later, the man was still raring to go. Work, man, work. When you hold public office, work for the people, like Rochas is doing in Imo. I like the Imo Anthem. It was sung in the morning, when the governor received us, and later in the evening when he hosted us to dinner. Do you know this gospel song: “God must be honoured, must be honoured, must be honoured, Jesus must be honoured in my life everyday.” Well, if you know the tune of that song, that is also the tune of the Imo Anthem. Imo my state, Great State, my State Land of wisdom, Peace and Unity O Lord my God, we cannot do without you Grant our Leaders the wisdom to lead us. The anthem is in five stanzas. Stanza two talks about rule of law, stanza three about corruption, stanza four about free education, and stanza five is a vow. Imo must be better, must be better in our time Imo must be better this is our prayer. I think the prayer is being heard. Imo is already far better than it has ever been. Owelle Okorocha has truly made a big difference. But then, we are in a democracy, and the opposition is free to attempt to wrest power. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which lost power in 2011, is getting set to unleash its armada on Imo. Will Okorocha survive? He changed party from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to All Progressives Congress (APC). Will he get a whipping for it? We wait and watch. But if one good turn deserves another as it is usually said, then Imo people may just do the proper thing. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=64625 |

There's really nothing to list. He does not know the first thing about governance and hides his embarrassing ineptitude under the cover of hating due process. Every system in Imo state is in coma and you know it. Abagworo: . Could you list the things you expect from a Governor that has not been done by Okorocha. Abagworo: . Okorocha asked them to leave him. I wrote it earlier on the other thread that some Governors could have let their orderly shoot Charlie boy but Okorocha chose not to harm him and I'm pleased with that. If our politicians can be this humble, peace will reign.lol, we are in democracy my dear. Charlie boy is no small person mind you. Only nobodies are shot like that in today Nigeria. |
