Yes. Have a small container in your handbag/purse and always keep mouthwash inside it. Enough for 4/5 mouthfuls.

The Best Home Treatment (which have been used for me since l was a baby, which l have also used for myself and have used for all my own children and they are using themselves and would in all probability, pass on to their own children) .. for Sore Throat is:

TCP solution in very Warm Water, used to Gargle

Put a few drops of TCP (let it be concentrated enough that you can taste it in the mixture) into very warm (not boiling!) water, use to gargle like four times (ensure it touches your throat ...or if the Sore Throat has been left for long and has now "grown wings"! soak cotton bud into the mixture and use it to touch the sore area of your throat directly. Be careful sha), morning and evening.

...and stop leaving your mouth ajar please!

I swear, if it does not go within two days, Go and see your Doctor........ you probably have a more serious infection that needs more professional attention.

What about cold origin?

Sharp guy.
Nothing works faster than alcohol.
Take a lil shot and let it settle on your throat for like 5 secs then swallow or spit out (if you don't like alcohol)
The most important part is what you do the next morning. While brushing make sure you scrub the rough throat, you'll feel it coming off.
You should feel good in the next few mins or hour.
