I must say, there has been a lot on my mind concerning this present government. During the run up to the presidential elections, there was huge indications that the odds weren't in favour of the then ruling party mostly because of the inability of the head to take decisive actions on things that affect the state of the nation and that was what the then opposition banked on to ride their way into power. Now of a serious note, the then head of state did a really fantastic work in all sphere of the economic though not to perfection but to an acceptable level which we nigerians felt but some crazed anti-regional elements never saw anything good in his works because he wasn't from their region and also not of their religion. So they set out to sabotage every efforts made by him eg the fight against boko haram, subsidy claims, sovereign wealth fund, excess crude account, sure-p etc. The young president downfall was brought about by those around him and his constant want in pleasing everybody so that no body/region would claim being witch hunted. He forgot that governs isn't bout pleasing a few people but the masses. Down the path, the opposite claimed power from him through unrealistic propagandas/promise ie #5000 monthly stipend for unemployed youths, fixing power sector(which past administrations couldn't remedy) Now knowing nigerians as we are, we always go for false hope as against reasoning. Now look at where we stand. Everybody knows once you are declared the winner of an election, you set out your machinery so once you are sworn in you kick off immediately. It took more than THREE(3) MONTHS for this government to pick its ministers (everybody expected new faces and technocrats with years of experience) and surprisingly what we got was old wines in new kegs. And now the economic is near comatose. The most annoying part is the government constant blame on the immediate past administration for virtually everything and yet they toll the same path. And more still, we are yet to get a single project done in more than 6months. The VP came out to claim that the previous administration didn't build any road but I can categorically say that they renovated and made some death trap more standard eg Abuja-Lokoja road, lagos-ibadan road, okigwe road just to mention a few. We hardly had queues in the past not until the run up to the elections and the light situation was ok, unemployment wasn't this high. The VP and his boss should at least renovate a federal death trap to ease the pain of the masses. If it wasn't for the death of a junior minister, I don't think the government would have worked a little on the kaduna road. If this administration definition of CHANGE is what we are seeing, believe me I prefer the old corrupt government than these saints. Enough of all this wailers talks and for once, let's forget this region and ethnic bigotry and hold this government accountable. One year is around the corner and what am hearing is probe this, probe that, arrest with no conviction etc. It will be a thing of shame if after all the fuss Nigerians beg PDP to return back in 2019 because once they(PDP) rearrange their house coupled with the pace/way this present government is going, it will be a tough one for APC to remain in power come 2019. I would have said they apologise and invite NOI back to the seat as minister based on her past experience but pride won't allow them after bastardizing her name. Bring back prof. Nnadi to head the power ministry once again and partner with Mr Uba and also all other technocrats with the interest of Nigeria at heart instead of political appointment for cronies as a way of compensation. Am yet to hear from the information minister, seems he has lost his voice. For me, the only visibly working minster is the minister of state, petroleum. I duo my hat for him, a true technocrat he is. I believe in one Nigeria placed above party, religious and ethnic sentiments. God bless Nigeria Written by Nwosu Harrison |

The problem with Nigeria is leadership failure with support by non-defined political ideologies from leaders themselves & the electorate. |

Paperwhite:The majority of the blame goes to the electorates. They are more concerned with "what does the candidate have to offer our pockets" not "what the candidate can offer to better our lives". More like stomach infrastructure... TonyeBarcanista and TheFakeStan can relate to this |
