senator ndume I stand with you on this matter. men marry more than a wife if you have the will, and means of doing so and also if doing so can be a way of deterring yourself from womanizing. it's much much better than the hyprocacy of keeping one wife at home and countless other prostitutes outside. we know many of such women based here in Abuja. women you are not equal to men and will never be. this is said mind you with all due respect. even in us men marry more than a wife that is for those who have learnt to bit the system.

I want to find out if polygamy is actually a sin? considering the fact that even in the bible several patriarch of the faith were polygamous. Also up until the 1970s and even 80s it was so very normal for a man to have more than a wife. I remember our growing up, my dad's driver had three wives, my dad had three as well then though. All of African history polygamy has as culture has never been disputed or contested. Whereas modernization has helped create awareness against it, my opinion is, just like every other human endeavors polygamy has its good and its bad. I strongly believe polygamy is not good for men that are not rich . It is pretty very straight forward. That said, In the last 30yrs that polygamy has been declining , have you guys noticed the sharp increase in the number of ladies over 35yrs yet unmarried. Can anybody who was around in the 70s and 80s remember ever having any aunty that was over 35 and wasn't married, but i am sure virtually every one of us has a family member or friend that is a woman above 35 yrs yet unmarried. Lets be careful what we copy from white people. Your average white man divorces at least 3 times in his life time. They barely spend 4yrs in a relationship before they move on to the next one. Larry King is a classic example, I have lost count of how many times he's been married now. Bottom line let those who have the resources and wisdom to marry a second or third wife do so, I don't think we should worry too much about what two adults agree to do with their lives. The white people who criminalize polygamy legalize same sex marriage . I for one find one relationship cumbersome enough , I don't have the strength to manage two women but for the brothers that are gifted with the spirit of patience and are RICH , pls let them go ahead and marry as many as they can take care, lets stop criminalizing polygamy it has been with us in Africa for centuries, compulsory monogamy is barely 50yrs old on this continent. My two cents
