unlike some states in nigeria where a particular tribe can serve as a general language for everybody irrespective of their local government, Edo state is known to be different, almost all the local government in edo state has its own unique language (sometimes even within a local govt u 'll still find people speaking different languages)... There can only be slight similarities between the different languages they speak.... When i see people from edo state i don't bother speaking my dialect because there is only 1 out of 18 chances that they will understand anytin i say.... My fellow Edo compatriots, lets get to knw eachother. Kindly write ur local government and dialect,,, I am from owant east local government they call us d Otuo people and we speak Otuo 1 Like |
