Yesterday, the traditional marriage rites of Wuraola Otiti Zynab Obanor was held at Edo Hotel premises in Benin City, Edo State, though the Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi was absent.

Reports confirmed that the rites started the previous night, on Friday, a ritual which will be concluded in her home town in Benin, before she would be taken to meet her husband in Ife.

The Benin event was successful, and last night, the new bride accompanied by her people and the Ife delegates, was taken to the Ife palace where the main royal ceremony started as the Ooni accepted her.
