IMPACTS OF NAIRALAND ON NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT For over 40yrs now, I can convincingly assert that Nigeria is a golden land of numerous opportunities for those who are resourceful, ingenious, creative, innovative, inventive, groundbreaking, enterprising, hardworking, focused, visionary and, most significantly, disciplined. A significant case study is the founder of this NAIRALAND, Honourable Oluwaseun Osewa, who created this platform to converge all Nigerians home and diaspora with primary aim for all to contribute our intellectual quota for progress and development of our dear Nation. But as a concerned Nigerian and Proudly 10yrs membership as Nairalander, it's daily becoming disappointing that the aim and objective of the founder has been forfeited and demoralised by some media cabals who take pride in only criticising instead of patriotic contribution towards the aspiring developments of our nation. This disgust makes me to question the role(s) of Nairaland youths in the current fight against corruption, unemployment, starvation and poverty in Nigeria. It is blasphemous..! However, this question was necessitated by my discovery through observations on several comments made by so-called Nigeria youth on Nairaland who criticised Chief Lai Mohammed over his statement quoted and publicised by a Nigerian National Tabloid. Most comments we read daily on Nairaland signal the stuff of what most Nigerian youth have in their mental stocks, and it is continually becoming embarrassing to the prestige of our dear nation. 80% of Nairalanders are youth but 75% are mentally lazy, educated illiterate, politically blindfolded, myopic, tribal bigots, perfidious and egoistic youths in Nigeria as at today. By what they post we know them...! Do we still have Youth of same mindsets with 1960s? Do you know that the idea of building FARM VILLAGES all over Western Nigeria by Chief Obafemi Awolowo emanated from the mind of a 29yrs old youth? What can we say of today's youth? Let's desist from political hatred and begin to make constructive contributions to the benefits of National development. The present leadership has a listening ear. I remember when Prof Wole Soyinka suggested emergency economic conference for economic experts to converge and rescue the economic situation. The man on top swiftly respond to stimuli. We need to hear/read of such reference from Nairaland. Let's revive the glory of Nairaland. In conclusion, it is not a must that you post or comment on every thread. The situation at hand now needs more positive comments. I expected Nigerian youth to come out with constructive developmental proposals to the advantage of Nigerian youth. We need different MEMOS, PROPOSAL, BILLs etc from Nairalanders. Nigeria belongs to all of us, Let's rise to the challenges. God bless Nigerian youth God bless Nairaland God bless Dr Saint |

Nairaland can inpact on nationional development if the mode begin to put the opinions and protest of Nairalanders on the front page. This Issues of putting mostly posts captured in online news platforms on the front page should be reduced. Peoples creative thoughts, questions and solutions should be made to gather a wider contributions by putting them on the front page. https://www.nairaland.com/2983471/poll-office-vice-president-please https://www.nairaland.com/2985292/see-calling-president-buhari-resign Let me believe that seun has seen this and is waiting for lalasticlala to resume work. Happy weekstart. |

".......This disgust makes me to question the role(s) of Nairaland youths in the current fight against corruption, unemployment, starvation and poverty in Nigeria. It is blasphemous..!" Nairaland youths have voted for corruption, unemployment, starvation and poverty for themselves. They don't want to be Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gate or any Chimamanda. Their role models are Olisa Metuh, Nnamdi Kanu, Asari, Tompolo, Gani Adams, etc |

I for one know I single handely stopped that integrity challenged Falana from being appointed minister of Justice with my thread here : why Buhari should not appoint falana as CJN. ![]() I also exposed the fact that Cambridge did not offer local languages in northern Nigeria and that only western Nigeria at the time Buhari was supposed to sit for his wasc offered hausa in their curriculum. The bastard Obama was able to force Cambridge to claim that they did offer hausa language even though all evidence pointed to the contrary. I also was the first to point out that Aisha Buhari was 13yrs old when she married Buhari and also exposed Tinubu as a CIA agent setup by them in one of his drug drop offs in Chicago : Code Name Prodigy. Stick around and I will remember more. And also I created the phrase : better south and zombies to describe the apc tadpoles here. |

kITATITA:Shut up. Buhari is using anti corruption fake crusade to enrich himself and his family and at the same time using it to oppress any opposition. Buhari is the biggest thief in Nigerian history. Where is our missing 2.8bn naira from 1977 when he was minister of petroleum? That money today is worth at least 30bn USD. Take your rubish anti corruption hypocrisy and shove it up your ass |

@ OP I don't mean to be disrespectful but I'm still wondering when having a different view from urs or present administration becomes an act of foolishness, for Christ sake this is a forum where you have people from all works of life, yes some people will make a meaningful contribution while some won't that's the beauty of this site, argument, tribal fight etc makes this place interesting, and wanting everybody to support lai Mohammed with all his lies or support fight again corruption that we doesn't even see a positive impact or the desired purpose of the fight is uncalled for,I know u support APC and all they do,if u are intelligent as u want us to believe u should by now know that not everybody will support this administration after all they did to the past administration with the media ...I rest my case |

youngeagle:Did you see where name of any political party mentioned? Try to read in full before criticise. This was same error you made while quoting Lai statement. The fact that National Newspaper criticise does not mean you should follow suit. Enough of discrimination. Nigerian youth are the reason for naija slow motion....(Quote me) |

Freegift75:Your surport for APC has gotten to the height that only Yaba Left can attend to your case.. I will never ever try to prove anything to you.. FO_OL. You come to a faceless forum, where people, some from Bush, some from Heaven, some from Hell, some have not even seen Food for 2days, while some have eaten like pigs and are just gassing/ firtin with their legs high in the air because of over feeding, while some are just coming out of mental home and some are geniuses.. You think here is a place you want to make sense to become a better person.. I can smell your frustration, you have wasted 10yrs of your precious time here trying to make one sense.. Here is not the place for you. Let me teach you: Here is a place were you come to be the perfect person you are not in real life.. What ever opportunity presents here, you grab it and turn it into fun.. NL has many sections.. Try visiting some of it now and then.. Especially the Sexuality section maybe, just maybe you will win and opportunity to Masturbate and free yourself of the Congenus. Op, go get urself a girl.. If you can't, just don't rape a child.. Ashewo dey there for you. |

Still yet to see a solid real-life positive contribution this forum has made to policies of any form. All we do here is quibble on issues then go on with our lives. I highly doubt any political figures come here seeking solutions to real-world problems, this forum already has a reputation of criticizing even mass-favouring policies and ideas to shreds. |
