U.K gov try as much as possible to keep more opportunities for their citizens but unfortunately their citizens are lazy and not interested, they only interested on petty jobs like shop assistant while International students work so hard to be doctors, lawyers etc in the U.K. For example U.k is lacking staffs in the medical area especially nursing because their citizens aren't caught up for that, while there are so many qualified international student for medicine but because they aren't citizens they can't work. Indeed U.K is going to suffer

You'll be surprised as to how irrelevant that US green card is as long as it's accompanied by a Nigerian passport.

You'll still need a visa to enter ordinary UK as an example. I mean who will run to UK from US?

Still wonder why some folks in the country still consider UK as a study destination when US and Canada are far better.

Offcourse I understand that the challenge in gaining admission into Uk universities is easier when compared to Canadian and US universities but we must not forget that notwithstanding the greater challenge it is worthwhile in the long term.

The greatness of America was not built by Americans. The citizens of America are descendants of many races. The people that hold it great migrated from different continents to he hold ýhe American dream. That's how a country is made great. Wish we could learn. ....

US is still the best. Jobs are very many down there compared to Canada. Canada is a country of just 35million people, and most of the stuffs you find here are imported from the US. All the massive companies from engineering, to finance to retail are all based in the US.

An international student has a very high chance of getting a professional job when compared to Canada.

Some mumu will think its good news when even the USA knows that the Chinese,Nigerians and majority of Asia only go there to get education and go back to their respective countries especially china who even have secondary school student producing prototype hybrid cars.but Nigerian students?they offer them little comfort of leisure and good life which Dasuki and likes of them have saved in their bank accounts and they stay back and never come back home and when they come back home? Just to spend a few weekends.

It will be better to go when you have the basic things life needs which should not cost an arm. A Chinese lady can go back with experience and would dofine,likewise an Aussie or South African. But Nigeria?Na mosquito and no light. Dem curse us??

What stops Nigeria from improving it's major universities and encouraging people from other African countries to come there for postgraduate degrees with scholarships rather than wasting money sending students abroad that most likely won't come back. A large percentage of research carried out in the U.S is by international students. You do the work, they keep the knowledge and benefits. Common sense is not common.

Atleast we can remember the advantages we benefitted from Ghanian instructors in the time past. Until we stupidly sent many of them away and made the country uncomfortable for them. The greatest import of the U.S is brains from all over the world.
