I saw it on Facebook from a reliable brother in Jos & decided to share it with my dear nairalanders...

Please lets condemn this beastly, condemnable and savage act by a DSS officer in Ahmadu Bello way in Jos today.
The DSS officers came to arrest one John Dan whose offence was not disclosed. Out of fear, Hezekiah Paul a student of Computer science from the University of Jos on sighting the gun wielding DSS officers attempted to run but was shot by one of the officers. Hezekiah died some few minutes ago at the Plateau Hospital.. Please type ‪#‎The‬ DSS officer must be arrested, prosecuted openly and punished... What a wicked world.

The guy shouldn't have attempted to run though. There were a lot of people there, and only him running will present him as someone guilty. Why would he run if he wasn't.

Nonetheless, the security official was absolutely wrong in gunning him at that position. He should have aimed at the guy's leg. The guy didn't attack, and was never a threat.

I think our Nigerian security officials should start watching American movies as part of their training programs.

I always warn my friends, you can run for police and the solders but never run for DSS. The moment you they see you as a suspect. I have once saw them shot a man on his leg because he was trying to run upon seeing them, after the shot they carried him into their car and still interrogate him with the pains and blood gushing out.
The once shot multiple times beside me before because I wasn't running. Their rule of engagement is whenever you run then you know about their mission in your area and avoiding some possible arrest.

See Jamiu - with level of their experience, they should know people do runs even if they feel guilty or not at the sight of anything gun, the environment should determine the type of attack they should carry on.
