Hello, please i need advice.

I submitted an application on 29th of December 2015 online for a 476 subclass visa.

I did IELTS exams on the 9th of January 2016.

I was contacted by a CO on 2nd of March 2016 and told that my english language test result cannot be accepted because it was written AFTER the date i lodge my application, and that i should provide an English language test result that was written prior to lodging the application.

I do not have any english language result written prior to submitting the application, the only english language result i have is the one written after i submit the application.

I have reply them that i dont have any other english language result written before the date i lodge the application.

I am wondering, do i stand a chance? Can the date difference be overlooked as they haven't gotten back to me since then.

I am thinking of withdrawing the current application and applying again since the english test result i have now will then be before the application. What is your advice please? Or should I wait until IMMI make their decision before lodging another application (if their decision turns out negative).

Is there any implication of withdrawing an application and then re-applying for same class of visa again?

Sorry for the many questions in one post.

Thanks for your help.

For those that are yet to pay their fees, I will give u the following advice:-

- use any of the leading banks in Nigeria to process your payment (First bank, Union bank, Gtbank or Stanbic IBTC)

- Don't let the restriction on forex discourage you, the earlier you fill the form A, the better for you.

- When you fill the Form A with any of the listed banks above, no matter what do not withdraw your application. Just make sure that the bank has stamped and signed where neccessary and has submitted your application to their headquarters.

- It can take as long as 4 weeks for the bank to supply your application with forex. So be patient

- Donot put your eggs in one basket. Explore other means to get your school fees across.

Goodluck

Thanks for your response, please I want to ask, can d vetassess payment be made by bank draft as opposed to form A, it's listed as one of the options on their website,, please house, what are your thoughts?

They must have asked you before you lodged your application if you have written any English test.. Did you tell them you are yet to write or that you have written a test??

When lodging your app they usually ask you to enter the date you wrote your test, so if that date defers from what is on your test report it's gonna cause some discrepancies and the result might not be good

My opinion would be to withdraw and re-lodge.. But don't take my word for it.. Hopefully more experienced people can contribute

Just my thoughts

Please who knows the process if one wants to assess as an accountant.. Am helping my bro out.. Is it compulsory he has a certification even though he has like 5 years work experience? And which of the assessing bodies can he use? Oshee
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Swimgood: 6:01pm On Mar 16, 2016
Not looking good to be sincere, as am thinking even before u lodged the assessing body and HV asked yu for that na...anyway let the bosses come to our aid...just my thoughts tho...all the best...as for me I feel aborting this and reapplying should be the best bet.

Unfortunately, you need to withdraw the application because you did not adhere strictly to the instruction. The instruction say, "An overall score of at least 6 with a minimum score of 5 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking) in an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test that has been undertaken in the three years immediately prior to lodging the visa application". It is as simple as that. You don't take chances in such situation.

Withdraw your application and then re-apply. There is no crime in withdrawing your application. You will be fine.

thanks for the tip. please which of the banks did you use? and how long did it take. I am a serving corps member here in asaba. on my visit to first bank, part of their requirements to use form A is that I must have completed NYSC , which will be done be mid April. I plan to resume in July . you think I am still on track?
