Maybe if they had removed the patient's bone marrow and replaced it with one from a person with CD4 cells resistant to the virus....it might work.(Has worked in one person....but the bone marrow transplant was primarily to cure his leukemia,and the docs are still worried that the virus might be lurking in certain cells of his body).
