It seems like you're new to this line of business.

Firstly, there is a minimum weight your item MUST reach before it can be ship through Normal Shipping depending on the agent. For most agents, it is 5kg and I doubt if any agent will ship below 1kg via normal.

Secondly, from the screenshot you posted, Bishop only told you the price of Normal Shipping and there was no place you both agreed on the method to be use for shipping the item. Hence, the reason he must have used Express Shipping plus the first reason I stated.

Finally, Bishop was quite rude to have told you what he said on the supposed voice note.

My advise: Judging by the weight of the item, it appears to me that it was order for personal use or sample and quite cheap, if this is true, I advise you re-order it but this time, use a "Free Shipping" company.

These forwarding agents can be very mean.It happened to me last year and i learnt my lesson a bitter way

First of all,I told the mumu agent to ship normal which he claimed was $4/kg but he ended up doing express shipping which I got after about 8days yet he claimed it was express shipping but was delayed by custom clearance (Bullsh*t) so he charged me $9/kg which was way above my budget cos it about 7kg.I cried eh cos i didn't plan for such expenses at all.

These meana*ss agent said my things will remain there till whenever I pay.They multiplied the custom duty by #300 + *7 then they told me that i have to pay extra 3,500 to Send through God is Good motors to Abuja.I paid through my nose&still after paying they claimed they disn't recieve an alert so they kept my things for extra 3 ads waiting for alert even after I sent them a photshot of bank teller&was supposed to travel.

Inshort I learnt that if I had sent those things directly to post office;i won't have spent not even 1/4 of that amount.

There are scammers everywhere.That's I don't take adverts or recommendations seriously anymore.

Now look at what u're going through.If people don't patronize them,they will say urge economy is hard..Tell them to give u a break down of the bill forwarded to u.Since u're in Lag;go to their office&make serious trouble.In my case;they were lucky I am in Abuja.They for hear am.

Where are u buying from?Alibaba or aliexpress?Alibaba suppliers usually want to semd through agents if DHL,etc.

Ask ur supplier if s/he can send it through Nipost.Just give ur address&phone number and it'l be sent to the closest post office nearest to ur residential or office and u can track it through Nipost website.Some post office staff call citizens on phone when they have a parcel.

Anyway most shipping agents don't do normal shipping ($4/4.5/kg) for items weighing less than 4kg but they don't usually tell customer that.

In my case I just couldn't forfeit them cos they were super expensive items and i was travelling with them so i couldn't wait for long shipping through Nipost.

PS: Shipping through Nipost takes about 15-30 days to get to Nigeria if sent through registered airmail.Just so u know but sometimes shipping through nipost cost less.I sometimes pay $2-5 shipping and sometimes sellers send it for free.

I had a chat with the guy and he told me the amount of express and normal for 1kg, since the goods was a sample and its below 1kg.

We agreed on normal for 1kg, which he said was $4.2 + #350 for 7days. Its been almost 7 days and they sent me a text to come collect and bring #3400 along.

I asked him how come #3400 and he sent the details below:
1*$9*323=#2907+clearing 1*468=#468 (#468+2907=#3375).

I told him I can't accept this and I showed him our past chat where he said its $4.2 + #350 for normal.
The chat is attached below. He even sent me a voice note on WhatsApp, that if I don't have up to $1 million, i should not be buying from china.

Please what should I do now?

They are not scammers, I was the one that first talked about them here,your goods was sent via express.I enjoy their normal shipping more than express,i used their express once. Your goods was given to someone else who is coming to Nigeria since it is a small package.They mostly deal with Alaba and trade fair guys,I will advice that people use their normal shipping instead of express.I have my goods that I will collect tomorrow and another one to be shipped next week. Sorry for the inconvenience just see if you can pay the money.Threatening them with opening a thread here might not help because I doubt if they are here.I share their contact here because I want others to benefit because the first time I used their normal shipping it arrived in 4 days and I was charged $4.2/kg and #350 clearance.

I have recieved over uncountable products from China and USA via post office. So wherever u got that info,tell them if its a post office staff that asked for 30k,the person shld be reported to the headquarters but it's usually #500 per parcel except u want to dash them money because of their hospitality

Very true.When I contacted the Chinese agent,he said he used a third party and the 3rd party will take their money and as well give some money to the Chinese agent making everything exorbitant.

@austinosita; just use post office orelse it'l still go thru d sane issue if u get another agent cos it's a small package.Just tell ur seller to use post office joor.

Aunty, this issue of post office collecting #500 per package is probably only your location because lagos post office attendants are not same, these ones are greedy, this was one of the things that frustrated me in 2014 from using post office onward. They were receiving or insisting i pay #500 per kg and i think that year was the last time i used post office till now.

I don't even know what you people fancy from post office especially from China, receiving items in 3weeks and above from shipment date, items disfigured, rambled, damaged etc and to say that taking advantage of free shipping is actually free is a joke. I still maintain that no free shipping in this biz. Anyway na my take be that and then I've always gotten the extra dolls off instead of thinking one kain shipping is free.

why not talk to the bank to see if the money can be reverted or u talk to ur supplier to see if the money can be reverted overthere and u get it back and think of another means to send it or u can ask the bank overhere to do a printout of the country part confirmation for you and u send it to ur supplier to see that the country is correct and can as well take it to his or her bank to show them as well.
