I was listening to a programe on radio station and the topic was 'which would women appreciate the more, cash or gift?

The callers were almost of the same opinion.

Generally girls prefer gift more than cash. But in nigeria they prefer the both at the same time. If you visit to surprise her with gift, they will request for money to surprise you.
