Where I work, you can't enter through the gate without having an appointment with who you want to see.. the person will be called to confirm things..

I'll always support any motion aimed at taking positive steps towards ensuring things take form. Its just that we are still Nigerians who are still subject to the Nigerian Factor thing

1. Remember the saga that accompanied the Ministerial Nomination. Not even 1 nominee was dropped eventually despite glaring facts.

2. Remember the Gubernatorial reruns (Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, or even Senate Presidency, etc). The 'men of influence' still willfully regained power (directly or indirectly)

3. Did you not experience series of ASUU strikes that these strikes were being called off while things returned to norm for most of the times?

These powers at the helm operate in a NETWORK where their interest comes first. The best they will do is make A NICE PUBLIC ACCEPTABLE SPEECHES SPICED-UP WITH EMPTY PROMISES and continue as usual after the airwaves are cleared up.

Ben Bruce that consistently made himself the Human Advocate, how much impact have those his gimmicks created? Just nice presentations accepted and celebrated by the average Nigerian.

Nonetheless, I still encourage you guys in creating awareness anyway (Even though we know these people are the backbones behind all these mischiefs).

Most adults find themselves in a difficult situations and they don't ask questions.. They maturely sit over and make new plans....

Point is.. Have you sat over to consider the reason behind it? If its due to lack of funds? Or if it's due to insecurity reasons? Have you consider other factors? Do you think the NYSC slept over the night and woke up today just to shift the date? Without any reason?
Do you not think that, they're working and are sorry for the trouble they're causing us?

Would you rather go to camp and not have water to take your bath and not go online to protest? What if they're trying to fix things in order for all of us to have a good time while on camp? Do you even know if they're trying to restructure the scheme for a better service?

What are u trying to do by the way? Compel them to make you to risk your lives while serving? Do you even know why they shift the date? Ofcoz you don't.. So what are you protesting for? Why the protest?

Imagine how this city seems to be crowded Its really amazing that most humans perform at their peak only when problems and challenges emanates. This is because most of 'us' live our lives on the RED LINE (JUST FOR THE MOMENT)

# We all know that no matter how we are persistent with our cries, complains or protest, NYSC will not commense A'16 camping or service year at their own expense. WHY WASTE THE ENERGY?

# In terms of management, funding and financing, NYSC does not operate as an Autonomy - Independent of the Federal Government Coffers. What answers do we need from NYSC that will deliberately alter the stipulated dates Or are we just trying to derive consolation from making such EASY-TO-ANSWER-WITH-WORDS request(s) (wetin happen to spinxytinxy consolation joint )

# For those of us complaining about getting older at home (becoming older than 24 years), resulting in reducing one's chances of employability, haven't we heared of what is known as DOWN-SIZING (which organisations have been significantly experiencing since last year)? Look around you, in the past 6 months, have you not observed the decline in money circulation, job security or related opportunities?

My advice:

1. Nigeria is fast becoming a and being dependent on a Capitalist society. One need to be proactive and entreprenuerial to stay afloat. And with the direction our nation, our economy and even NYSC is tilting, do not be suprised that paying Corp members the suposed allowance (allowee) consistently will pose a great challenge when we eventually get started.

2. Tailor those energies of yours into something lucrative with this time NYSC has made available (regardless of whether or not you get income in return). The experience, skills and rapport you will develop therein will come in handy sooner or later!
