RIGHT FROM MANY GENERATION OF MAN KIND THERE HAS BEEN A VERY CRUCIAL PUZZLE AND QUESTION THAT HAS NOT BEEN SOLVE ,THE QUESTION IS WHAT REALLY HAPPENS TO A MAN/WOMAN AFTER A PHYSICAL DEATH .SOME RELIGIOUS SAY TEACHES THAT D DEAD LIVES SOMEWHERE ,SOME TEACHES THAT THEY GOES TO D LAND OF D DEAD ,SOME SAYS THEY GOES FOR JUDGMENT ,SOME SAYS THEY EXIST IN ANY WHERE AND SO ON ,BUT AM STILL WONDERING,D DESTINY OF MAN/WOMAN AFTER DEATH

When you die, like any other living thing, your body decomposes. Since your brain is also organic, it too dies, along with your personality and consciousness contained within its neurons.

A lot of things happen after you are dead they just don't involve you anymore

You're dead and cease to exist, just imagine sleeping and not dreaming, everything is dark, but this time your consciousness is no longer concerned about waking up.

Your question is "what really happens after our death?", huh? Is this what you call an unsolved "puzzle"? Is that really a conundrum?... Okay, what happens to a dog after it dies?... I think that should give you an idea of how simple and irrelevant the question is... Irrelevant because the events (I mean natural processes) that unfold after your death won't involve you, as Johnydon22 has correctly stated... you won't even know that you're dead... it couldn't be any more simpler...

The Christians are also waiting for golden mansions and white robes after they are dead and the vikings are waiting for sex and wine.

You see people tend to find solace in the whole notion of passing away rather than simply dying.

Humans tend to find a psychological comfort in the whole concept of transcending into another realm instead of the inevitable ceasing to exist.

I'd call that greed but also an act of short term imagination because if they looked back beyond when they were born (when they didn't exist initially) it wouldn't be so hard imagining inexistence of their being.

It is understandable why we humans make up these fantasies of paradise, valhalla, afterlife and heavens for ourselves.

Because out of all the species we share this planet with we are probably the only species that know at a very young age that we are going to die one day.

I don't think the chimpanzees and elephants and lions or birds out there are fretting for an afterlife or performing rituals or killing each other to secure their place in paradise or heaven.

So it seems the human knowledge of the inevitable end of our existence is somewhat of a burden.

So why not we all rather forget these fantasies, myths in a bid to make ourselves feel good and realize that the most important time is the present. And focus on what we have right now and where we are.

Whenever I think about Death... My head just goes blank. I believed there is life after death, we all have to account all our doing to a supreme being, Since we did not create ourselves into existence... Well, only those who has resurrected from death has knowledge about life after death but majorly, my Bible has the ultimate answer

but you only have a problem when it concerns your own myth and fantasy..

That is what i call the petty dishonesty of faith, it makes everyone think their version of superstition is the true one and others are just being delusional.

Remember just like you the muslims also believe theirs is not just a myth but true... That you believe these fantasies does not, will not and can never make them true.

So i don't care if you pretend not to know what i am saying!!!

Exactly what I'm trying to tell him... He feels quite convenient to take the Islamic myth as absurd, while labelling his as unique and true... Had he been honest with himself, he certainly would have dismissed the Christian myth for the same reason he dismisses that of the muslims... I think your post sums it up better, sir... @johnydon22...

sorry to burst your bubbles. the consciousness doesn't die. even science is beginning to acknowledge that something of us remains after death which is conscious and aware.
