MINUTES OF THE CONGRESS OF STUDENTS HELD ON 19-MARCH-2016
The congress commenced at 6:03pm at Anglomoz car park (later moved to Awolowo Hall Café during the course of the congress) and was moderated by the Chief Security Officer of the union with the rendition of the Great Ife Anthem.

The congress after a brief gyration addressed pertinent issues as follows;

POOR WELFARE CONDITION ON CAMPUS
Congressmen expressed their displeasure on the poor welfare condition on campus as well as the ineptitude of union officers.

NANS INTERVENTION AND THE REINSTATEMENT STRUGGLE

With reference to the planned NANS invasion tagged OCCUPY OAU IN RED, it was resolved that NANS intervention is welcomed but should be preceded by a meeting between NANS and the security committee so that NANS will be given the modalities to adopt for the intervention which would be in accordance with the conventional mode of confrontation of Great Ife Students as well as to see to the sustainability of the struggle.

The modalities agreed upon include a peaceful action void of vandalism of properties. Also, the intervention should not only demand for the reinstatement of OAU 3 but alongside Olawale Ogunruku as well as an upgrade and overhaul of the appalling welfare condition on campus

INEPTITUDE OF THE UNION LEADERS

Upon much preponderance, it was resolved that the security committee should continue to act in leadership capacity of the Students’ Union and be responsible for welcoming NANS. Also, membership of the committee is opened to all interested students.

THE STUDENTS’ UNION TASK FORCE

The congress resolved that the student’ Union task force hereby stands dissolved. Anyone who acts under the auspice of the force is fraudulent and any transactions with these persons in this capacity are illegal.

The congress was brought to a close at Awolowo Hall Café with the Great Ife Anthem by 10:45pm

There's interfaculty, there's that of depts., and if u're into soccer, your hall of residence will also fix.
Also, depending on your church, like catholic for instance; they usually have their sport fiesta during the early period of 1st semester.
