HungerBAD:
So in this one week alone.

A new born baby was thrown into the Gutter in Lagos, and sadly that baby died (pic was on Nairaland some days ago)

Today another girl sold her child. So, I am here thinking why are the hearts of women so deep and wicked? This also goes to those in the habit of killing via abortion too.

How do you girls sleep at night?what goes on in your minds knowing you just sold a baby like a sachet of milk?and to think you will be smiling and laughing with this burden on your mind? Please and please if you are not ready to have babies, then insists he uses protection,or you use the morning after pill yourself.

Then lastly, those that goes round buying people's children as of they are goats will never know peace.
The twist to the story is that the couple she was selling it to are barren
May you never experience the woos of childlessness in Nigeria.

You cannot be made to pay up to 500k to legally adopt a child. So why go through illegal channel to get one, with all the risks involved?

What is wrong with our people?
You must be joking
Apart from the time frame and waiting
You will pay (bribe) through your nose to make your papers hurriedly reach the right table, and that's a federal government certified orphanage.
Someone ones spoke how she spent up to a million just to hurry up the process and get a baby girl

Hmmmmmmm.... End time sales
Women in short are strong hearted. A man u don't know will give u a ride and at the end of the day asked you to open your legs wide apart after a few naira notes. The resultant effect is unwanted pregnancy. Ladies where are your brain?
To you the buyer;where is your conscience?. Is it not legal to abduct legally than this criminal act?
This type of criminal act should be given attention with capital punishment. Lawmakers over to you

I don't know how credible your claim is, but.....
If you are partly correct, then it shows what has been fueling this baby trafficking business.

As it is, almost nothing works in this messed up country.

Capital lie.Have you attempted to adopt a child?
Am not justifying the act but let's always be factual.

The procedure itself is tiresome not to talk of PR to those people in women affairs. Then come today come tomorrow. What of the medical tests for the couple, money for them to visit your home. All these is after waiting for say 3 yrs. And then you pay as in pay before the baby is released to you.

You pay again for the magistrate to sign the release form and another PR TO women affairs.

After 6 months you go with the baby for the final papers and you must pay for the magistrate to sign Again .

na her pikin. anything she wan do with am, make she do..... it's better than aborting the baby and she must have weighed her pros and cons and decided she can't take care of the baby.... if I were to be in her shoes, na to give the couples free, and let them adopt her legally. in that case, police no fit shook mouth...

Adopting a child is a stressful and draining process everywhere in the world, so Nigeria isn't an exception. It's also time consuming and even takes years in some countries. However, holding that baby in your hands should more than make up for all the delays and disappointments.

Nothing justifies buying a baby, and it should be discouraged. That girl was foolish, and was exploited. That baby might have been used for rituals for all we know!

This is because some Nigeria's are used to cutting corners instead of honorably going through a normal process and also used to taking undue advantage of ugly situation rather than helping out. And these habits are common with 'MONEY MISS ROAD INDIVIDUALS'

The girls action is not in any way justified but what I abhor is someone coming on board to claim that one could walk into an orphanage and walk out clutching a baby without stress or paying peanuts.
