First of all, let me clear the air by saying this thread is not to ridicule the university of the moment but to help her to doing the right thing. In its recent 10th convocation ceremony, she failed to recognise the faculty best students and the departmental best students. A close case study is a friend of mine from the department of accountancy with name orajekwe ebuka jerry who graduated with 4.82, he was the departmental best and den doubled as the faculty of management science best student yet he was not even appreciated or recognised or better still retained by the school. This is so so discouraging. If this was to be unilag, he sure would be walking back home with not less than 100k minimum. Pls it's not about the money but appreciating hard work. I know most zikites have this pain, pls let this get to the appropriate quarters. Thanks

yea it's a federal school, and am very very sure about it. Imsu best student with cgpa of 4.71 was given a cumulative sum of 2million naira and a new car by innoson and post graduates scholarship by imo govt to any country of his choice and also retained as a lecturer. But unizik best student was given only 100 thousand naira and retained. He was the only one appreciated in the midst of all oda good heads in the school. Too bad for a federal school

that is why I always tell people to stop the comparison between federal and state if God say u will be successful you will .The school someone attend may not necessarily be a criteria for a successful life. Hope something is done about it though..
