If u can just ignore when she is crying. I kno it isn't easy but my dear will u kill urself ni. I m good at that sha. Some of my friends always say "ah this woman u av heart sha" but like I always say if d baby is not hungry, not feeling sleepy, not avin a wet or soiled diaper, not running temperature but still crying then let d child be. Not every cry needs attention

If u try this method for some days she will get to know that mummy won't give attention at every cry and she ll learn to stay put. #my2cents#

Please in other news....how do i handle a cry-cry baby?during the day,she hardly sleep up to 15 minutes n she like glu-ing herself to me.

@wal02 yesterday was the 9th day my baby didn't poo and when he farts 'holy molly, rolls eye's' I practically hold my breath. He is 4 months+, so what I did last night before bathing him was pouring hot water(bathing temperature when cold) directly on his anus. After some minutes of struggling and crying he pushed out everything and it was really plenty. Pls try the hot water in the morning. it's well

Eve. I don't knw ow close u re to ur pediatrician, if he is close by I suggest u check on him. If otherwise just get warm water, cotton buds and mentholetum. Get A little amount of d balm unto the cotton bud and insert it into her anus, rotating gently. Afterwards u can pour d warm water. If it's a harden stool it should flush out instantly or very soon. I don't know if dis method I'd medically ok. But it what ave tried n it work perfectly 4 me

For instant relief, Take your baby to the paediatrician. He/she will insert infant glycerine suppository. In less than 30mins, everything will be out. Before then, you can do a clockwise massage on your baby's tummy. I dread stimulating poop in infants! As a FTM, poop issues can be very worrisome. Subsequently, each time he wants to poop, give him warm water to drink, massage his tummy and make him stand. Gravity will also help push it out. Dats wat I do with my son now.

Hello mamas, pls for those aving issues with their baby been constipated (not pooping) for a reasonable number of days, u can try Gerber prune (picture attached). It's about 300-400 for one and it tastes very nice.

Pls make sure it's d one on d picture I posted because this is meant for "supported sitter" ie a child that has a reasonable amount of head control and can sit assisted by an adult (not sit alone).

Pls u can read more about it online. Prune has been known to help with bowel movement. I make sure I have like two packs at home at all times. Even adults can take prune to help bowel movement too.

God bless us all and our LOS

Hello mamas...we should learn to structure our children's day and not just leave them unorganised if not we will be the ones to suffer for it.
For instance my lo wakes up by 7am,brushes hus teeth, takes his first meal while I wait for him to poop before I take his bath.If he does before 9am,fine! if not,he takes his bath.while waiting,he goes outside to play and take vitamin e..and also exercise a bit..
I use that time to prepare breakfast.
From 9am to 11am, we do rhymes nd play with our toys..by then we are both exhausted. He takes his second meal and I put him to bed and lie beside him. It is a must to take a nap. I can't die!
Before 12 noon, he dozes of and I am free till 3pm..
Lunch is ready by then. We shower, change our diaper etc. By the time we are done, it's 4.30pm and it's time for outdoor play again.. he stays outside till 6pm, takes his 4th meal for the day, I put on d generator, he watches catoons while we wait for daddy to come back. We can also make dinner together..by the time daddy is back, dinner is ready, he eats with daddy, showers and I put him to sleep by 9pm or 9.30pm..
It's a routine..once I miss it he disturbs me and then I look at the time to know what he is supposed to b up to..
We have to teach our Los what we want then to get used to..
Why won't a child sleep in d afternoon? At what age? Please let's try to structure their time.. that's y there is a timetable used in schools to help the children transition from one task to another. Let's incorporate their methods..and let's try to tell them what we want them to do so they understand instead of fighting nd throwing tantrums..for example..its time for lunch..yaay!yummmy and when d child is through, the child gets a hi5, it's time to take a nap, take the child to d bed and lie down..u might even sleep off. But by the time u wake up, the child is deep asleep...consistency is key..
May God crown our efforts.
I hope this helps

Hajarabadmus, you nailed it! kiss routines are excellent for children. Even when you are not around, dey still stick to it. 4 me, cos I go to work by 7am, my son wakes by 5.30-6, bathes, eats and wen I drop off at granma's, he naps till 9, eats his 2nd meal and off he goes to play...Infact he falls asleep most times again at his play area..lol. He wakes up, eats, continue his play till I return. I'm so happy for setting a routine. Once it's around 9pm, he sleeps off. At dis age, outdoor play is realy good for dem. Helps to develop dia gross and fine motor skill.

Nita2013, I remember u recommended gerber prune for me too unfortunately I've not found it till date

Sorry dear. She'll be fine. Just give PCM. Then continue rocking, dancing and singing. She will calm down. Don't worry there's nothing wrong with her. It's very normal. At a point sef u might feel like crying with her lol. She'll be fine soon.

Feddy27, outdoor play also wears them off like makes them tired. So getting them to settle down to sleep at night wouldn't be much of a problem.

Thanks to the mama that recommended semo with milk, I tried it today and my kids gulped it in less than 5mins. Before I could fetch water for my 2year old DD to drink cos she asked for water, the boys had already gulped the food. She ended up not eating.
I had to put it in one bowl to ginger them to eat cos I wasn't sure they will like it .

Nita2013, I have never seen that Gerber Prunes pack and I have searched for months. Sigh.

Hajarahadmus, truly a schedule is key. I know why Baby E is crying (it's nap time) and when to eat and when to sleep. Consistency is key and people will keep telling "leave the baby to sleep when they want to sleep", please dont listen to them. They won't be there to help when Baby is cranky and you are exhausted. As for times, it can be a general time (from around 5.30pm to 6.20pm a bath happens for us in that period to get us ready for the night and 7.30 to 8.15pm is bedtime). So as long as you keep the same periods daily, things gets easier.

Allow it to boil for few secs and its done. Put ur desired amout of milk in it after cooling and feed your baby. The taste is yummy...
I just heard that some people put vry little quantity of sugar in it to taste.

Thanks guys..im doing very well now..will try to me more interactive here..
Children communicate with us a lot..if we are patient enough, they are very easy to deal with..
The most important thing is teach them what works for you and they will fit in perfectly. It takes 3 - 7days for kids to get used to a routine...
It's outdoor play time and we are snacking on apples..see ya
May God bless them for us..
