Ofcourse, a concentrated US action devoid of geo-political and special interests against ISIS and other islamic terrorists would be hot and swift .
Deploying a quarter of fully armed US predator and reaper drones reserves and a couple of F-16s in the middles-east and somalia with ''round the clock hammering'' is enough to wipe all these terrorists out in a matter of days .
But then the US would have to be focused on the one job at hand and ignore the usual interest groups.
This is exactly why russia have been winning the propaganda battle even when the world knows the ruskies are not up to par with the US in terms of operational capability.
A dog focused on one target would seem more effective than a lion focused on 100 targets at the same time.

I'm actually someone that follows Donald J. Trump's news very well, what I've noticed about him is that his policies for the US looks ok but his foreign policies are whack! The US relationship with their allies if Trump wins won't remain the same and he'll make more enemies around the world.
I still remember one of his statement during that Ebola epidemic in 2014 after the first patient who was flown to Emory University Hospital touched down in Atlanta GA, and also when US (Obama's administration) refused to cancel flights to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea during that period. He said and I quote 'that the US are importing deadly diseases from Africa' - if you're an African, after hearing that, you'll feel offended by such a statement. I believe if he (Trump) was the president then, you wouldn't have been seeing American doctors touching down in Liberia to fight Ebola.
