Former governors of states in Nigeria on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) met yesterday at the Abuja residence of immediate past governor of Benue State, Dr. Gabriel Suwam.

The meeting held behind closed doors but it was understood that the agenda was not unconnected with the forthcoming congresses of the party at the various levels across the country.

The former governors are known to be the most powerful bloc in the PDP presently and are expected to play a frontline role in determining the future direction and scheme of things in the party.

It is the thinking in many quarters that the wave of electoral victories been recorded by the PDP across the country in re-run and by-elections could be consolidated upon through purposeful leadership to position the party to recapture power at the next round of elections.

This is a view largely fuelled by the generally poor performance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-controlled governments across the country, including at the federal and states levels, leading to rising cost of living and hardships which is made worse by increased taxation in some states such as Benue.

So What else are they planing on rebuilding? This party is dead and buried.

Gathering of looters and losers. Nigerians have rejected PDP and no amount of clandestine meeting by electoral rejects can bring back the dead party.

In a sane society were we have truthful leaders, meetings like this is suppose to be based on the reflection of what they did for their people and questions like?

What legacy did we leave for our people?

How many roads did we construct?

How many schools did we build?
How did we turn the fortunes of our state around for good?

But in a country like Nigeria meetins like this is based on how they will come back tru proxies and milk their people dry.

Then he renovates a couple of primary schools and grease his mighty ego with a conspicuous Suswam Thank You inscription on their walls as though he did the renovations with his money.

Greatest achievement- buying cars and houses for little girls in town.

How we can do that, I am not sure, but we have to accept that this adminstration (with how things are going) isn't the solution and bringing PDP back is even a worse suggestions.
We also have to stop the foolish practice of singing praises or throwing blames at any slight opportunity. Let us support the advancement of Nigerians; not of a single party or individual over another.
