If Tinubu verdict is erroneous, then the case should reinstituted as soon as possible. Cause the anti corruption crusade must spare nobody. But if Tinubu is allow to go free in the basis of erroneous judgement, then the whole drama is just political motivated. After the judgement of Nigerian court in Ibori's case didn't prevent the law from catching up with him in UK.

Are u a learner? what happens in this country is that APC supports n defend thier own thief while PDP also support n defend their own thief. The same people who are telling us "double jeopardy " will say something different if u substitute Tinubu with Akpabio. In fact, they will call for his arrest immediately.

When Saraki deflected to APC every one was
Happy ,now that he is holding a juicy position they want his head cut off,Saraki's trial at the CCT is just witch hunting for the fact that he emerged as the No 3 man of the federation.

Double jeopardy will not avail Tinubu, he was merely discharged and not acquitted. what is the effect of a discharge? An accused who is discharged can be tried again. I would advise you to go and familiarise yourself with the doctrine of double jeopardy and the factors to consider before applying it.

The charges against will not be revisited by any serious minded person, cos those charges were laughable. Bringing accounts of his wife and children, and accounts belonging to him, which were not operated while he was a public officer. As a matter there was only £3,500 in his daughters account. Bring it on, and Tinubu will just "use you to shine".

Rather than cry over technicality or other people's judgment, Saraki should go straight to the point - guilty or innocent and let's move forward

CCB should then appeal.

Nigerians should force Code of Conduct Bureau to appeal the judgment to a higher court that will inturn order for a retrial.

This is just as simple as ABC. Every Nigerian must be judged by the same rule of law

Just because you don't want Saraki to go down? I dey laugh. Haven't you heard of double jeopardy?

Your question is out of context. The person I quoted erroneously mixed up the Bureau with the Tribunal by querying how a court can appeal its own judgement. That is what I straightened out. Whether the Bureau will or can appeal was not my focus in that post.

Are you for real? A Tribunal doesn't appeal its own judgment or verdict.

That is why our constitution and the act that establish the CCT should be re~visited.
Having discovered their mistake in Tinubu's case, what stop them from amending the act since then?
What is good for the Jews is good for the Gentiles.
We should n't always wait when problem arise before we start looking for solution on the issues bothering the law of this nation and then we just apply any solution we like and say the constitution did n't say anything about it.

The ignorance shown on this thread by all is disheartening.

Tinubu is no longer a public office holder, as such, in what capacity will he be tried for asset declaration.

Saraki is on trial as a senate president who has issue with is assets declaration.

If saraki leaves the Senate now, he has no case to answer again.
