Sealeddeal:I've been saying this thing here for a long time but Mynd44 keeps on deleting my contributions if he doesn't ban me. Nigerian Army is deeply involved in what is happening all through. We must pass a strong message to the Nigerian government by having a clash with the Army. It must be done in a ruthless manner such that they will know we mean business. Some of our people who totally blind to what is happening or who fraternizes with them should be among the casualties to pass a message to others. Like noblezone will say; we are at war. @topic. Who did arrest them then? We must dig this fast as possible and with every media coverage as possible. Let us become restless until we know who are behind it and they all must be released with immediate effect. If you are perceived as weak every cockroach will dance on you. |

Yujin:Yujin , knowing how the status of the Nigerian military , a military that once used farm sabotage and starvation to win a war and a military that will sign Amesty with militants , run from Boko haram militia but shoot at unarmed protesters how do you think such an encounter will look like My fears is that the military will go to an innocent village round up the young men there and shoot them, yes shoot them. This is a military that never challenged cameroon taking over oil rich bakassi peninsular , the only penisular that nigeria has leaving its inhabitants as refugees , but wasted no time to shoot at young men from zaki biam and Odi who were inivted for a peace meeting. |

that two women who went to farm had been abducted by the herdsmen. “When we got such information, the community gathered to discuss modality of dispatching some people on rescue mission and suddenly they were surrounded by men in military uniform who arrested 76 of them and carried them away in trucks”, the monarch said. He therefore appealed for the intervention of the Enugu State Government, to secure the release of the arrested villagers who he said were taken to Umuahia Prison. “It is wrong for our people who fled the North because of Boko Haram to be treated as slaves in their own land. We don’t want to be destroyed by herdsmen like they did in Agatu, Benue State. Government should please come to our rescue. We appeal to our Governor, and other South East Governors to save Igbo land from herdsmen invasion before it is too late”,No Army to arrest Fulani herdsmen whilst they terrorise a whole community, but as soon as the community puts up a resistance, the Fulani Army of Nigeria will surface to make arrest. Wat is it with kidnapping Igbo women? I hope they saw that 76 Igbo men mobilised for war. Kidnap of our women is the surest way to break NIGERIA. It surely will result in war. Seun take note that a ban on inter-tribal marriage is sure to take place in Igbo land becos it seems our goodness is now bring us trouble. nduchucks call ur brothers to order, befor u start calling me a religious bigot. Tell them to leave our mothers and sisters alone for peace to reign. |

kettykin:Good question. Now, there's a saying that says if you want peace prepare for war. It does not matter how much the well known Nigerian Army kills our people. We and the world will at least know who are behind the killings unlike for us to keep on hearing that faceless herdsmen are killing and ransacking our communities. The attack against the military is to gather public attention that will ensure that the herdsmen case be taken seriously. Anything short of this will bring a repeat of the Tiv situation in Enugu state. Formally, the Tivs held the herdsmen down until the Zaki biam debacle that weakened them and left them at the mercy of faceless so called fulani herdsmen. Igbo is a big group and should not fear any intimidation from the Nigerian Army else we are domed. Besides, killing soldiers will at least send fear into the hearts of others on how the actions should be among our people. Let there be a big media coverage of the activities going on there. DO NOT EVER GIVE IN TO ANY INTIMIDATION FROM THE NIGERIAN ARMY WHO ARE WORKING WITH THE FULANIS. Finally, we must be very proactive in our approach to security. Let every community in such crises prone areas have contacts with our people in the army barracks or station closest to them for confirmation of any such arrest while it is still on going to know how genuine such arrests are. Our local politicians should lend a voice to the affected community leaders when investigations are going on. We know our position in Nigeria so no one needs to tell us that we should be eternally vigilant. |

cheruv:You are being harsh on those people, until our people realise that herdsmen atrocities are nothing but Fulani led state sponsored terrorism fully backed by fulani dominated military and you expect any village or town to fight and win them. This problem need collective effort of all Igbos home and abroad to fight off fulani invasion of Igboland. |

modath:Mo ain't gona blame no peasant Fulani here, I blame past leaders for their ineptitude n irresponsibility n its an op for the present government to score a socioeconomic point vital to the peace n economy of this country. Stroll with me Mo...... Fulanis and host communities or guest ,as it may apply , have been living together for several decades n know how they resolve their conflicts until recently less than or about a decade where the whole of d middle belt most especially fall into a design war sort of. I do not trust PDP in its devilish ambition to rule Nigeria for ever or how do u want me to explain the PDP sponsored 2011 post election violence the sponsorship of which they tried so hard to pin on GMB until Abati n the Presidency were disgraced by a libel suit where they, including the Guardian newspaper ,apologised to GMB? Didn't you notice how the war in the middle belt reduced drastically suddenly the moment PDP lost power? When citizens take laws into their hands , it means the political leaders have failed in their responsibility to secure lives and properties of the citizens. We import 70% of d milk we drink from Holland n SA so can't we use modern agriculture to serve us? A typical 'bush' Fulani cares not about any social amenities but green grasses n so strategies should b evolved so that his cows wouldn't stray into crop farmers ' fields. And the only solution is that all diary farmers be made to have fenced piece of planned land or farm having relevant grasses n legumes with water source ,veterinary ,and extension services attached. Holy Jesus, I see a lot of jobs being created from this alone. Laws against free range that is inimical to other famers should be made as well as provisions that protect the nomads too. ll give an example , in a village close to Abuja, Fulani leaders n crop farmers do charge any rearer that allows his herd to eat others crops illegally up to N20,000 or more. As long as money meant to fight desertification ,n for other dev projects are stolen, the more nomads move towards south ,the more tension we ll continue to experience. We ain't saying nomads are angels here, in fact we condemn their disregard for others' right to their environment, lives and livelihoods. But the cause of this malady would any serious well wisher want to discuss: corruption and ineptitude which removes the balls from any infected politician from implementing lasting policies beyond soapmaking, motorcycle and sewing machine sharing to a poor few. Modern agriculture, law and order, and the sincere political will mixed in the right proportion is just d remedy. |

Babacele:You ended well Babacele but blaming the past government for every failure in the state is wrong. When will this present administration start taking responsibility for things? Is it after APC rule for 20 years before we will say they are of age to make policies that will better the life of citizens? I think it is high time your APC started working. Structures should be put in place, things should leave theoretical realm for practicality. You guys have said alot, written alot too but nothing has been done. It only looks fine on paper. I need results. |

amicable09:.. ooooh Amy sweery .... i think PMB takes responsibility n have apologised on two occassion or something ....1 about fuel scarcity n the other i cant remember. we are getting results in d ocean of d structural mess we met here n for your info we ain't gona spare PMB if he performs below par. But presently we wont even spare angels if they can be devilish enough to pin the consequences of a 16 years deliberate misrule on PMB when especially he s sweat- laying d foundation for a better national edifice. I'm even impatiently annoyed with his being too democratic n civilized in handling some of these rogues but there is nothing I can do about it unless you want to reccomend Lee Kwan's treatment which most Nigerians want. oh we ll continue to blame yesterthieves for their sins especially wen they are unrepentant ,bellicose n mischievous like wat they did in the budget sabotage before we threatened them behind closed doors. Things are happening Amy maybe u check these out: 1. stealing is now corruption go ask Badeh n co 2. BH is now hiding, begging n fading. which is encouraging investments and 3 . the diversification drive of the economy , 4. despite d low crude price , the economy is still afloat cos we have disciplined managers unlike those who told us to brace ourselves wen crude was $76. if they had saved n or diversified the economy, we won't b complaining but they stole the commonwealth n we shall collect every penny even to their graves or where will the money for 'things to happen' come from? After 4 years we can attempt to judge this administration. Nigerians of course own the mandate which we have given PMB for d next 38 months more. |

Ojiofor:abegi make una dey think before una over misreact ooo cos we have innocent Igbos going about their normal businesses in Fulani lands. the solution is for the law enforcement agents to work n prosecute anybody found guilty n further engagement with all tribes on peace ,tolerance and conflict resolution . any other thing na anarchy n nobody can predict its ugly outcome. |
