If this incident happened in any of the Yoruba state you will see all this clowns jumping up and down about how the Fulani would never try such in the east, like Abia state is not in the east. All I see between Yoruba and Igbo is empty chest beating while the Hausa/Fulani is kicking everybody's butt.
At least they protested against the activities of the herdsmen. Na ordinary hausa bike men almost sent u people packing in Lagos and ur oba was begging for mercy.

I agree with you that people should pick up arms and defend themselves.

But what baffles me is the silence of the Government when it comes to the issue of Fulani herdmen, not only Buhari Government had kept silent, even GEJ kept silent on jos massacre when herdsmen almost wiped out the natives.
The fight against herdsmen should be a collective effort

Don't mind them. See as them ran comot from the thread. Last year, Fulanis attacked an Enugu village and killed one of their Ezes. Today, they came back to displace 76 villagers and kidnap two women for their harem. Next year, Fulanis will hoist their flag in Enugu as they've done in the past in Abia.

It still baffles the entire world that out of over 200,000000 nigerians, Buhari emerged as president. Frankly speaking, Nigerians should expect worse things than what they are presently complaining about

It's not uncommon for villagers to meet and discuss problems affecting them. The major reason why herdsmen has continued to kill is because they have never been sentenced to death for their nefarious acts and Nigeria has come to a time when people will now act to defend themselves.
The bolded speaks volumes. Most "villages" do not have 76 inhabitants. You continue to run away from the glaring fact that you people were congregating to mount an attack on herdsmen, most of who are innocent of any crime. The authorities correctly arrested you all before you become judges and juries.

I also note that you may not be sophisticated enough to objectively address the root causes of this problem and proffer some solutions. Your solution is to murder herdsmen who are yet to be found guilty of anything. Wharra shame!

For the benefit of the remaining lazy coots here, I'll repost a comment I made a year or two ago, y'all can search for the rest:
How does it even make sense to u the herdsmen shud have reserved areas for grazing in anoda mans land? What happens to their own land in the north? Listen man, this problem wont end unless the herdsmen start buying up lands and using same as grazing field. Nobody is gonna give up an inch of his land to herdsman for free.... U had better stick to reality.

That's what I said...they getting way way too nice. The Enugu should replicate the Ghana way of dealing with this fulani miscreant. Hevk, or even follow onitsha method. Idk who did this to Enugu people but I think they are way way way way way way way too nice. Enugu people recieve sense and do the needful...it's your land..YOUR land. The fulani knows not to try that rubbish in Asaba.

The part that irritates me the most is the kidnapping of igbo wonen. Wtf do northerners want from our women? I thought they said their women are finer than fine, their shit don't stink, they are virgins, blah blah while south women are loose and not as fine as their women yet this same set can't seem to leave our women alone. If they not kidnapping teens, na adults.

You're not even asking why Soldiers has to arrest the villagers when they have committed no crime. You're not also asking why soldiers are intervening in all Fulani herdsmen cases and not the police. There is more to it than meet the eye. You deem Fulani herdsmen innocent and not the villagers.
As for the solution, the Fulani herdsmen should be the one to ask for solution and profer one if they are peaceful Nigerians. The Miyetti Allah cattle rearers association has rejected grazing zones without proffering any solution. The Fulani herdsmen are not seeking for solution. They want to be pacified, or feared and that's why they are relentlessly destroying their host communities at a slightest problem even when they have caused it. The best solution to Fulani herdsmen activities is as it's said by Osama bin Laden,'an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and the killer is killed'. That's the only language audible to such terrorist group.

You pissing me the hell off..shut up. Who's innocent?

The fulani have been a thorn in every villagers back and when called out, they result to violence to defend themselves. Likewise in this cade, did you not read the Agwu people had a dialogue with them and asked them to stop the farmland invasion. Instead doing the needful, the fulani took it up a notch but kidnapping two of their women...for what reason did they do that, if not to start a dilemma. Yes the youths were getting ready to attack the herdsmen...no one is going to deny it. But the question is did the herds members deceive it? The answer is Yes. They already did the diplomatic way by asking nicely to stop but y'all Nigga refused to listen.

Honestly, with the way Fulanis are going. You people will create a huge problem for yourself. There's a time you'll instantly create a tension for yourself that every villager will kill any fulani they see.

It is very difficult to have a reasonable discussion with folks who are ignorant of the law, the constitution of this great country, or the Land Use Act

It suffices, for now, to inform you that any governor can grant customary right of occupancy in respect of an area of land in excess of 5000 hectares if granted for grazing purposes, to any singular herdsman and waive any fee. Flee emotionalisms and think outside of the box.

Your effeminate emotionalism does not negate the fact that the urban sprawling and your lack of city planning are primarily responsible for the encroachment of the herdsmen's historical grazing areas. Until you are bold enough to make this admission and work without pride to resolve this national problem, you people will be resisted with both daggers and other choice repellants. cool

Omg are you seriously seriously blaming Enugu for the herdsmen invasion of their OWN lands. When, emphasis on when, has any part of Enugu's land become a fulani "historical grazing areas". That territory belongs to Enugu individual, the fulani are a guest In their land...the Fulani should respect their host by staying away from their livelihood...it's just that simple.

I honestly can see why the fulani have yet to learn their lesson despite the replicated fights in different region. You all honestly believe the lands of others is your "historical grazing areas". Tufiakwa. Ogun state did the right thing by banning you lots. The rest of us seriously need to follow through. Before we know it, every southern city/village will be like illorin. Tufiakwa!!

. It's been a long time I heard of Fulani herdsmen violence in Jos. The Jos people has forced them to listen. I am saying that we, in SE can never negotiate with anybody for our lands. I said earlier that Cattle rearing is a personal business of the people doing it and I have said also, that literate/illiterate businessmen I know all acquired the place they do their business. Fulani herdsmen should seek for a grazing zones and rent it and pay tax and loyalty. That's the solution to the whole issue. But if they continue to kill to intimidate, revenge will be the appropriate response.

The Fulanis carry out their nefarious act with military backing. Even the one that happened in Oraifite in Anambra, the Army quickly intervened in the interest of Murderous herdsmen. All those night raids on the rural communities blamed on Fulani herdsmen alone were carried out by Nigerian army under the command of Northern Army officer in conjunction with Fulani herdsmen. The best thing for Southern Nigeria and other areas disturbed by Fulani herdsmen is to arm themselves, sacrifice their lives and fight Nigeria establishment not excluding the army. The country is hopeless.
what of other tribes in the army? are they that weak and wicked to their tribes that they can't expose such act in the military? I'm really getting worried cos this isn't the first time I'm hearing this and there must be some iota of truth in it.

I will read land use act while Fulani herdsmen will continue to kill. I don't need to debate with you. SEeasterners will not need the contribution of north when reacting appropriately to Fulani herdsmen's violence. Sensitization will begin and when appropriate, the herdsmen will fight to death or move back to north
