Hello guys my HP pavilion g6 comes on and after using it for about 20-30 minutes, it then goes off but the light on the Power button will still be ON though the screen had gone dark. If I try to re-boot the system, it will never come ON until it stays for a while like 30mins to 1hr before it can come ON again. Please what could be the problem to it and what do u suggest that I do?

Check the fan, it's not blowing anymore.

Thanks for d reply. Actually I have checked the fan but it still working. But can the flex be the problem?

Does this happen when the laptop is connected to public mains or just on battery alone? What type of processor did it come with? This would help us know what to suggest. Looks more like the processor getting over heated.

Definitely over-heating.. It has happened to me before.. The fan might still be working but it might have been clogged by dirts

I'm so grateful for the replies. Actually the processor is core i3 and another thing is dis, the battery of the system is death so its kind of "Pluck and Play". But When it was tested with anoda battery, it still displays d same problem.

@bolded you likely mean" plug and play". Don't mind the silly 'autocorrect'

Give it to a tech guy to remove dust from the motherboard and apply 'paste' on the processor... or probably change processor/cooling fan.
