I will tell you from now that you won't believe me. Not even you, my parents and my friends thought i was joking because it doesn't seem real.

Here is from the start
I posted on my topic to Dreamwaker that i will be having a school trip and this was what happened. I SWEAR TO JESUS!

There were three buses assigned to transport us to debrezeit city managed by the school administrators. We visited Ethiopian air force, went to bishoftu and our last stay in the city was a place called mekonenochu. (kinda like a hotel). We had our snacks with us but food was not allowed to enter to the hotel and we were told that we have to order and eat there. We were fasting so we wouldn't be able to order a very cool food(which have meat). First we enterd in an empty bus but the driver was there, so we got out.We had to join some other 5 students cuz it's risky being a women and entering in a bus when the drivers are present which are Men. The driver was inside but all 7 of us in the bus were girls. The bus is not like the cars we use at home, it's a big one which is very tough to get in and out of. Just imagine! At first, there were 7 students(girls) and 2 other students(boys). When the boys left the bus, they close the door thinking we can open it back but not. The door is a very big one and it requires much power to be opened. The man who helps the driver (which is not a student) enter and closed the door on us, but we thought he was going to let us out. Then he said 'tekemetu!' aggressively, meaning 'sit down!'. We refused to sit and we tell him that we want to get out. But things were getting worse. He avoided us then guess what? He took the car out of the hotel then we started yelling at him then start beating up any part of the bus. Amazingly my friend opened the door while the bus was in motion. I don't even remember how she did it! I was trying to dial home. I was more close to the door but even though i know the car was moving, i chose felling of the bus cuz however worse it could get, it wouldn't get worse than what the men were about to do. I don't even know how i escaped. But i know i have told them i was about to fell off and if they want to follow me that they can and i knew i was rolling on the floor then i sleep on the ground. Then I thank Jesus! Immediately, i wake up to check out how the others were doing then i saw them from a distance that the other two did the same thing (fell of the car) but the other four were in the bus. Surprisingly, i fall in front of the police station so, around 5 police men came out then we reported. My bone is just a lil injured but the third one,( her hand was bleeding). and that was how we survive. It was a very scary moment, and if any body watches Women having a hard time like this, help them by informing to the police. Every body have seen what we have done and they went to the police station together with us.

Thank you for your concern. I bet the same thing wouldn't happen to any nairalander. I felt hopeless when they stop responding. They fell on the side walk and i fell near the side walk and stand immediately before the other cars came damaged me. Also you take care. Unexpected things happen more than the expected. And it was not just the day for us to die, cuz what if a big stone hit us? What if our forehead was beaten? What if our bones were broken?

The buses are called lonchina in Amharic. Every body thought it was a movie. Seriously, some ppl thought we were making a movie after they saw us. Lots of the students didn't know the story but the talk was spread yesterday and every body was hugging me telling me i was lucky that nothing bad happened. The boys were calling me 'James bond'. Cuz i was the first one to dare to jump. They were even like 'we don't have that confidence to jump if it was us.' I think it was my adrenaline working too much.

I still can't believe what just happened not even you. I was quoting for my mentions in nairaland few hours ago before this happened!

By the way, they got released. Me and my friends will report what happened tomorrow in the office as witnesses. This might take us back to the police station. Next time the same thing might happen to the others, but then they might not survive as we did. The government must take this seriously! Rape records are so much increasing here! The constitution is not helping. Men are doing such things to the women they don't know. Even thou the women are not the sisters of the men who dare to do such things, the women can be the sister or mother of some other ppl. One of our friend was so emotional that she have cried 3 times when she tried to think of loosing her family in such a way if these men were successful.

I once accidentally alighted from a bus that was in slow motion and that motion just pushed me forward like something just pushed me on high speed. I was going to have a serious injury but someone caught me. It's very dangerous.

I am very very okay, i think it's cuz the way i fall down was not risky. Me rolling on the floor have helped me to not get injured. But the third one, the way she fall way kinda straight to the floor but she is very okay now. And those guys are released with no punishment! The witnesses and my friends couldn't help me take this case to the police station again, they were scared if those people could hurt them back.

You are right about the rolling thing. It's a miracle guys you were not badly hurt.

Just read the story. It sound like a movie Edna and I'm glad that you're OK . It reminded me the story of Hannah oo Its sad that now a days this kinda things are spreading in ET.
