With the recent development about the identity of Zoom and jay Garrick, many questions have been asked and many theories have been given.

While I will be debunking this theories, I have taken serious time to look at the character of zoom in relation to Jay Garrick and then balancing it up with the character of Barry from the very beginning, as a result of my persistent research, I have come up with some set of theories that I believe will answer the numerous questions that are left unanswered.

My Theory: I believe that both Earth 2 flash and Zoom are the same person and that is Jay Garrick.

In episode 5 Of season 2, we say flash create a mirror image ( also known as speed mirage) while fighting doctor Light from earth 2. Now understanding that he was not really as fast as he is now, it’s understandable that the mirror image he created was temporary & static (i.e., it was not moving on its own) and was faking quickly which resulted in Barry having to create multiple mirror images.





While in episode 9 of season 1 , we say the reverse flash ( who is still faster than the flash) create a mirror image of himself while trying to deceive Barry and others, we say him in different clothing in the same place as one was dressed as the reverse flash and the other was dressed as Harrison wells.




So I believe that the zoom (who is presented as being faster than Barry and the reverse flash as a whole) as the ability to create a mirror image that can become an entirely new body and can be in different places at the same time.
So Zoom could be on earth 2 while his mirror image (the one we know as earth 2 flash/ jay Garrick could be on earth 1).

But then that begs the question, How can one person Jay Garrick be Earth 2 Flash (The Good Guy) and the Zoom (The Bad Guy) at the same time.

While I have a theory that explains this , I will like to see what you all think of this before I drop it.

If Jay in earth 1 is Zoom why did he wait until the breaches where opened before showing up. Or is it after the breaches opened that he all of a sudden knew he need flash's speed.

And besides, Zoom have been terrorizin earth 2 even b4 d breaches were opened so how did Jay in earth 1 that you claim is Zoom travel between both earths. When there was no breach for him to travel through. So you can see your theory is riddled with holes.

Well, i disagree with you, the only way Jay can be mirror image of zoom is if DC is planning on playing a fast one on us as they did when they made reverse flash to appear in season 2 (giving us lame excuse for his appearance [s][/s]).

Back to the topic, Jay (earth 2 flash) is known in earth 2 to be a very good guy to the point that a statue was built for him as it can be seen when berry travelled there and battled killer frost and her bae. Therefore, as far as I'm concern, before a hero's statue is built, the hero must have either:
(a.) severally known to have saved many lifes and properties
(b) risked his life to the point of death to still save people
(c) or the people undoubtedly believe in him.
(D.) ALL OF THE ABOVE.

That been stated, remember that from the scenes we have been shown so far, even BEFORE warm hole thing, flash and zoom as been known to be opposite of each order. So tell me what willl zoom gain he tries to save people at the cost of his life by being the flash(Hero) and also kill hundreds at the end of the day by being zoom(Vilian)?

Like somebody said, the only reasonable explaination we can give considering the fact that sisco can vibe zoom by touching Jay's helmet, is that both are twins in earth 2, while one grew up with his family to bear "Jay Garrick" the other one was adopted to Zolomon family(like the one in earth 1). With this theory, Jay might not even know that zoom has the same face like his own, while zoom will definately know because Jay doesn't wear a mask.

There is a saying that says: The enemy you don't know but knows you, have far greater possibility of defeating you than you do.

Now my brain is smoking out for being over tasked.

him na Eddie Thorn na (contrary to general assumption tho). I made that conclusion based on the hair of the masked guy. It looks greyish (or call it yellow) Eddie is the only one i know with that hair color and Eddie was not shown at all in earth 2.

abruptly walks out. On her way out, she passes by Livewire
being interrogated by Lucy in her cell, and overhears how
Livewire wants to kill Cat and Supergirl.
Cat opens a box of cupcakes. She knows that Kara has her
eyes on James, and offers some advice--she shouldn't try to
attract him, but just shine her light like a lighthouse.
Siobhan is walking through downtown when she hears the
screams again. She abruptly storms into CatCo Plaza,
pushing past Winn. Before Kara can call the police, Siobhan
sonic screams, and sends Kara flying out the window.
Suddenly, her fall is broken by a red streak.
In a nearby desert, the streak is revealed to be The Flash.
He wonders why Kara doesn't seem to be bothered by the
fact she's on fire. Kara casually puts out the flames, and flies
off. A few minutes later, Kara stops to chat with the Flash,
who seems confused that she doesn't know him, or any of
his superhero friends and enemies that he has faced in the
past. Kara is equally surprised that the Flash doesn't know
her. He reveals that his real name is Barry Allen, and
realizes that he somehow must have run out of his
universe.
Kara introduces Barry to Winn and James. Barry Explains
the concept of alternate universes- the Theory of the
Multiverse. He believes that his universe and Kara's crossed,
and he accidentally ran through that void, seeing as he
hasn't quite mastered jumping between earths. Winn
readily understands, and helps James get his head around
it. Barry demonstrates his speed by rushing to a nearby ice
cream stand within a matter of seconds. Winn thinks James
is being jealous, but the former denies it.
Cat already has pictures of what appears to be a new hero,
and wants James to find a better picture of him. She's
already trying to find a name for him, and rejects Barry's
suggestion of "The Flash" in favor of "The Blur," which she
insists is more mysterious.
Siobhan stops to talk with her Aunt Sinead at a magic shop.
She learns that the women in the Smythe family were
cursed with the spirit of a banshee. It's stirred up by the
rage generated when someone wrongs them, and can only
be quieted by killing the object of the rage. Otherwise, while
her scream will grow more powerful, it will destroy her soul.
Livewire is sitting in her cage when a faraway scream
shatters her cage. The guards rush in, but Livewire blasts
them and disappears through a console. Lucy immediately
alerts Kara, who suggests that Cat and Carter go into hiding.
Cat rejects this out of hand. Realizing she can't take on
Livewire and Siobhan alone, Kara asks Barry to help stop
them. In return, she will do everything she can to get him
home.
Kara and Barry head to the D.E.O. Barry convinced Lucy of
his bonafides, and explains that by day, he's a CSI. He takes
over Alex' lab.
Livewire reappears in an abandoned warehouse and finds a
full case of beer. Siobhan appears and reveals she was the
one who freed her. She proposes that they team up--once
Livewire kills Cat and Supergirl, she'll have a free shot at
Kara. Livewire agrees, but suggests that Siobhan get a
makeover.
James arrives at the D.E.O., only to find Kara and Barry
chatting. He's about to leave when Lucy arrives.
Remembering how she had the same look of jealousy
whenever she saw James hanging around Kara, Lucy
convinces him to fight for her.
Kara and Barry track Livewire to the warehouse. Kara wants
to go after Livewire right away, but Barry is reluctant to do
so without a plan. Winn agrees, and wants to build a trap.
However, Kara thinks that Livewire is too big of a threat for
them to wait. They arrive at the warehouse to find Livewire
waiting for them. Barry tries to overwhelm her using energy
generated by running around her, but this only serves to
give Livewire a charge; she blasts Barry to the ground.
Kara sees a sprinkler overhead and is about to melt it with
her heat vision so she can short Livewire out--only to be
disoriented by a faraway scream that makes her ears bleed.
Siobhan walks out from a closet, with her face painted in a
manner similar to the banshee she saw in her visions. She
now calls herself Silver Banshee. Kara offers to help, but
Siobhan responds by screaming her to the ground. After a
brief scuffle, Barry and Kara realize they won't be able to
get the better of it and head off.
Kara later apologizes to Barry for rushing in; she's
desperate to win back National City's trust. Barry thinks
Kara needs to slow down and stop trying so hard; he went
through a similar episode, and remembered he only won
back Central City's trust through time.
James wants to talk with Kara, but Winn tells him that she
and Barry are at the D.E.O. Just as Cat calls for Kara,
Livewire blasts in. Before James can call Kara with his secret
watch, Livewire blasts him to the ground. Silver Banshee
storms in on the elevator. As she is about to go in on Cat,
Winn pleads with her not to give in to her evil--only to be
screamed to the ground.
Barry rigs up some special earplugs that he previously used
to deal with another foe with a sonic scream. James calls--
Livewire and Silver Banshee have kidnapped Cat. Livewire
appears on the viewscreens and taunts Supergirl and the
Flash. She tells them that they have Cat at National City
Park. Kara wants to go alone, but Barry convinces her to let
him come along.
Livewire and Silver Banshee are wreaking havoc in the park,
where they have Cat handcuffed to a bench. Cat begs for her
life--for her sons' sake. As Livewire is about to electrocute
her, Kara and Barry arrive. Silver Banshee tries to scream
them down, but it has no effect thanks to the earplugs.
Livewire travels to the roof of a nearby building through
electric wires, and Barry chases her. They fight, with
Livewire eventually knocking Barry out.

as they can, it will open a portal that will allow him to return
home. After exchanging a hug, they run with all their might.

How then are both of them sick?

We know for sure that jay took the velocity 9 and now we have discovered that even zoom took the velocity 9 which is what makes his lightening blue, is that just a coincidence?

Every member of the flash has things they do if they are to leave the lab.
Cisco, Caitlin and wells hardly leave the labs as they work full time in the lab.
Barry works as a forensic scientist at ccpd
Joe works as a police officer at ccpd
Iris works at Central City Picture News as a journalist
Jay is the only person who leaves the lab frequently as he hardly even stay there regularly but has no specific place he goes or a specific thing he does.

How then are both of them sick?

We know for sure that jay took the velocity 9 and now we have discovered that even zoom took the velocity 9 which is what makes his lightening blue, is that just a coincidence?

Every member of the flash has things they do if they are to leave the lab.
Cisco, Caitlin and wells hardly leave the labs as they work full time in the lab.
Barry works as a forensic scientist at ccpd
Joe works as a police officer at ccpd
Iris works at Central City Picture News as a journalist
Jay is the only person who leaves the lab frequently as he hardly even stay there regularly but has no specific place he goes or a specific thing he does.

They are both sick because they are both speedsters with scientific background (well, am assuming zoom is a scientist too), trying to defeat each other by all means.

don't get it wrong ooo, V9 was the upgraded version of V6, Caitlin upgraded it, what Jay have been taking before coming to earth 1 is this version 6 which might not be strong enough to change his speed flare to blue and even cause more damage to his body, zoom on the other hand might have discovered the upgraded version of velocity 6, which is 9 sooner ( probably also a smart scientist like Cailin), he might even have discovered something higher, probably velocity 10, which is why he is still alive after several dose and the dieing process slower.

While i will still be going along with the theory that Jay garrick and Zoom are the same person which even barry and his team where able to work out that caused barry to run in deep anger.

The next question is how is one person that is jay garrick be both the Earth 2 flash (the good guy) and the zoom (the bad guy) at the same time?

My Theory:Jay Garrick first was the flash who later became Zoom and then created a mirror image to remain as flash.

I believe that the particle accelerator in earth 2 affected the jay garrick who was a scientist to become the flash who is a good guy and a real hero. As time went on the hunger to get faster in order to defeat his foes grew. Unlike barry who had harrison wells (the reverse flash) mentoring, teaching, pushing and training him in order to get faster by natural cause, jay depended on his skills and abilities as a scientist to create a formula that will help him get faster than ever, while the formula worked to get him faster, the continuous intake of the formula made him extremely faster than ever bringing about the blue lightening but then it also began to take it's toll on him and made him sick.

Due to the fact that he already has the speed force in him, the effect of the formula is suppressed by the ability to heal fast, which does not make him vanish/evaporate like trajectory but still it is killing him in bits. Not wanting to die and still wanting to be a hero, he realizes that he now has two missions
First: To do whatever he can to find a cure in order to survive
Second: To be the hero that he always was

He then comes to understand that the cannot carry out both missions at the same time and as the same person. So he became zoom and created a mirror personnel that remained as the flash.

But then this creates the question, if the same person is both zoom and earth 2 flash, how come their lightening are different?

While i also have a theory that explains this, i will like to see what you all think of this theory and the question that follows before i drop it.

And i think to some extent it explains how two Jay Garrick can exist at the same time. Maybe a zoom from the future travelled to the past to brief himself abt his plans.
Also the good guy bad guy stuff maybe because velocity 9 has split his persona into two.

That was what i was thinking at first but then i realize that a jay garrick (zoom) from the future killing a jay garrick of the present will wipe zoom of existence
