Let's talk about Linda Ikeji. When the name pops
up... What comes to mind?

An independent female blogger who makes money off
blogging and hated on by jealous celebrities? Right.
Let's look at this scenery.

Your parents, just like many other parents in the
country, are going through a stinging financial
downturn and they had to sell off their vehicle to
afford your tuition. And then they are able to pay
your school fees and you are in school. Since you
don't wear your problems on your forehead, you go
around school with a bright face and your are ever
cheerful... So no one knows what you are passing
through at home. Then suddenly, the school's
gossip, who always has a way of knowing things the
he isn't supposed to, somehow finds out about your
parent's financial status and then announces to the
whole school -

"VICTOR DANIEL'S PARENTS SOLD THEIR CAR TO PAY
HIS TUITION!!!"

Now, the gossip is true. No doubt about that. But do
you know the kind of trauma you will go through?
Because the revelation will create a type of
impression of you that you wouldn't like. That's
what's like to be under Linda Ikeji's knife. But you
all don't know this, because everyone likes to listen
to news about another person's life. So you don't
understand how much it affects them because you
are not the centre of attention. It's not your
private life that was made a public discussion.

All of us have a private life. Everyone has that one
thing going on in their lives that they don't want to
make a topic of public discussion. I have things going
on in my private life that NO ONE of my friends know
about. Everyone here has that thing going on in
their lives that they like to keep to themselves.
Everyone has a family drama going on that he
wouldn't want to become public.

Now imagine how it would hurt if the news isn't even
true afterall? Or if the news was slightly twisted in
a way that would give a negative impression of you?

Yes, the "they are celebrities and they shouldn't
expect to have a private life" excuse comes up. But
aren't celebrities humans too? Don't they also want
to have some private life too? Even a celebrity who
posts most of the events happening to him on social
networks also have something he'd rather not post
about- and that's him protecting his privacy. If
Linda Ikeji decides to dig up that very detail and
make public, you think it doesn't get to the
celebrities?

Do you know that even those celebrities read the
comments on her blog? Do you know how much those
comments get to them? Do you know that public
perception of a celebrity affects him so much that a
negative story by Linda could ruin their careers
insidiously?

As much as I will condemn Wizkid's puerile rants,
which was poorly and immaturely done without a
slight atom of professionalism, I will not absorb
Linda of any wrong doing. You all just don't see it.
She plays the victim all the time and she has the
support because people are entertained by reading
news about the private life of a celebrity.
