Rajosh:The sharing formula is not fair, 160 trucks amounts to each state in the north including fct getting 8 trucks(20 States) , now do the maths for South West and you'd find out the sharing formula is not fair. |

| Re: 160 Fuel Tankers Allocated To The North, 40 To The South-West by Reference(m): 6:27am On Apr 06, 2016 |
sweetgala:No sir. You mix things. There are six recognised geo-political zones. 3 in the south, 3 in the north. This is a fairly recent demographic development. It is not even constitutional. Prior to this and still widely used are 'regional' demographics of which the middle-belt is recognised. Thus what is called the middle-belt is part of the new north central definition, stretching from Niger in the west to Benue in the east, from Kogi in the south to Abuja - FCT in the north. You cannot use the terms middle-belt and north central in the same description. Kano is north-west |

aminho:Taraba is north east but when you look closely at certain characteristics they could fit the middle-belt. |

The very nature of this country does not make for development, equity and justice. If we cannot see this and restructure then its just a pity. |

Judging by the comments on this forum from the usual suspects, it's easy to see why increasing number of people are growing tired of Northerners. No ounce of objectivity in their body. I am glad more people are waking up to this bullsh!t. |

YourNemesis:53:47 North_South. This is because of the enormous migration of easterners to the north when compared to that for the northern tribes to the south. If we are to balance it by telling everyone to go back to their regions, the south would be more populous than the north. Let me give you something to think about. How comes out of the three largest ethnic groups in Nigeria, two are in the South yet the north still has more population? I spent over two decades in the north travelling across states. Does it mean that the hausa population alone cancels both the Igbo and Yoruba population or even is close to it? Do you believe Kano state has more population than Lagos state? Think critically. |

Yujin:Guy, I think you are making a very common mistake that southern Nigerians make. Hausa Population does not Equal Yoruba + Igbo population, but one thing you fail to acknowledge is that The Hausas only dominate one geopolitical zone in Nigeria, and that is the North West - mind you, even in that North West, many of the people we are calling hausa are actually Fulanis.. in the North East, there are some Hausas too in states like Gombe and Bauchi, but they are just one of the many various tribes that live there, such as the kanuris, Boles, Tangales, Fulanis, Kare-Kares, And hundreds of tribes in Taraba and Adamawa states. North Central states like Kwara, Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau, Niger are not even Hausa at all. We have tribes like Tiv, Kamberi, Bariba, Yoruba, Igala, Nupe, Gbagyi, Berom, Tarok, Idoma, Jukun Etc in these states. We say it all the time that nigeria has over 300 distinct ethnic groups, If I ask most Nigerians to start listing the ones they know, most can only list maximum 20...... and out of that 20, they will mention Hausa, Igbo, Fulani, Yoruba, and maybe some popular tribes in the south like Edo, Ijaw, Urhobo, Ibibio, Efik.... where do you think the remaining over 280 tribes are? majority of them are up North. The reason why the North South ratio is 60:40 is because of the inclusion of States like Kwara, Kogi and benue as Northern states, otherwise, it is more like 50:50. So while Hausas are not more than Yorubas + Igbos combined, the north still has more people, the majority. 60% of Kaduna state is not even ethnic Hausa. I have told you the secret now, that is why Hausas are scared for an inclusion of ethnic data in the population census, because they know the truth will come out, and every Nigerian will know that they constitute less than 55% of the North. |

Reference:Pure truth. there is nothing North East about Taraba. Jigawa should be moved to the North East, while Taraba should become North Central. North central, AKA middle belt should be the Zone with seven states, not North West. |

U vandalise pipelines, so even when d refineries can produce, no means of channel, den when d country manage to import some little quantity then u expect to get it all. Its never done d@ way, gone are d days when impunity was rewarded |

YourNemesis:My guy you are still wrong. I know that hausas don't really have that population that makes the north populous but still the numerous minority tribes you mentioned still do not have the population as you will want us to believe. Most of the tribes you mentioned are not even up to 500,000. Those minority tribes in Southern Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarawa, Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, Yobe and Taraba don't have big population. In just one local government, you can have up to 10 different languages and tribes. I know those areas well. I'll mention those tribes with population of up to 600,000 from the north outside the hausa/fulanis. They are Kanuris, Tivs, Igala, Jukun/Chamba, Idomas, Gbagyis, Nupe, (Beroms?), (Ebiras?),(Babur?) and very few others. Kagoros, Katafs, Ninzo, Atakars and a host of others from Southern Kaduna. The Eggons, Madas and others from Nasarawa. The Izeres, Taroks, Maghavuls, Anagutas, Shendams, 'Ngas and others from Plateau. The Sayawas, Toros and others from Bauchi. The ilelas(Zuru) of Kebbi. The tangales of Gombe. The kuteps, Bachamas and others from Taraba. The Bolewas, Marghi, Kambaris of Adamawa etc. I can go on. Most of them are below that number with some being even less than 50,000 e.g Kare Kares of Yobe. Fulanis did a lot of damage in the Middlebelt before the intervention of the Europeans. I read about that. |

forkinsonlolo:What do you know? Only if the northerners share the same thoughts with you, your thoughts wouldn't have been so out of place. Even using your logic, would you approve sending 140 tankers to ekiti while sending 40 to Lagos? Does it make economic sense to you? |

forkinsonlolo:This discussion is obviously out of your depth. Unfortunately, most southerners holds the same relaxed views as yours about the northerners hence why Northerners has been able to get away with all sorts. They just keep pushing the boundaries and getting away with it. |
